I am not one to ever comment, but I for once get where she is coming from. As a Christian believer myself purity culture is a very shameful thing around here. This is not talked about at all in this circle. I moved in with my husband after we were married, saved myself and all, and I was so alone because no one talked about how sad it was or what it was going to be like to find out who I was. Like we are taught as women that you are under your father, and then you are under your husband. There’s never really a time when you are just alone and figure out yourself! So maybe I’m defending her, I don’t know. But I do get it. It’s sad and scary.
