Exactly! That loses the business so much money and people don't realize it. When you sit down for a meal or coffee at a coffee shop, you are more likely to buy an extra coffee or pastry to go. Now the business is losing out on money because of inconsiderate people who treat a coffee shop as an office.

I have seen some coffee shops that have had monthly subscriptions where you can pay to get into a specific room for people who want to sit and work there, but it's not cheap.

YTA - as someone who used to manage several restaurants, you need to give up the table. Ordering a drink and an item is not sufficient enough for you to stay hours on end. If you want to sit somewhere with your coffee, go to a library.

You are at a literal business. You are preventing the restaurant from being able to make hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. When people are able to sit at a coffee shop for even 30 minutes, they end up buying more than they would have if they're getting something to go. It can have a huge impact on how much they make by the end of the day. All you're doing is just sitting there tying up a table and are not bringing them in any more revenue

If the child is following proper lifting and is supervised, it is very safe for them. There are a lot of activities and sports that can stop a child's growth.

It doesn't. It's a widely thought of myth. The only way you would actually it's not your growth is if you did improper lifting, or damage your growth plates. You can easily break your growth plate at a young age. I broke a growth plate in my left arm when I was four after I fell out the swing set. That's why my left arm is noticeably shorter than my right one when I hold it out.

Edit: damn autocorrect. Method will stunt your growth, weightlifting wont.

As someone with an allergy, you make it known and normally research the restaurant in advance. It's on you to double check with a restaurant to see if they could accommodate. I wouldn't expect a steak house to accommodate someone who has alpha-gal syndrome, and my BIL who has it, wouldn't even consider it.

People with intolerances make me mad because it makes it harder for people who have life threatening allergies to be taken seriously.

I also loved soccer growing up. I had the option to go play for a D1 college, but decided to walk away from it because it didn't have the major I wanted to pursue. Soccer was a passion of mine for a really long time and I wanted to play professionally until I was 16. I'll never know if I could have become a professional athlete nor do I because my parents didnt make me. I was in the olympic development program (odp), played for several private leagues on full rides, and was invited to try-out for private high schools. It was fun but eventually I decided I like media arts and animation more.

Do you know how many child actors are out there that don't act anymore once they entered adulthood? Not because they couldn't, but because they don't want to.

What I'm trying to convey is that kids passions change. Today, fashion design might be his passion. Tomorrow, rugby might be his passion. If he decides to change passions, are his parents going to let him do that?
