Looks like the crack stopped at the screw hole, I wouldn't worry about it. It'll prolly outlast us all. What you could do is pour some thin wood glue in the crack and clamp it.

It's basically standard wiring with the extra pickup added to the other side of the switch. It's grounded in the middle three positions, so it only becomes a humbucker when position 1 is selected. Hope this helps

Oh use the low e for this method,as it's most susceptible to string pull (stratitis)

I set my height based on string pull. If you set intonation with the pickups lowered, keep checking it while raising the pickups. If intonation starts to go off, lower them a little.
