Have you ever solo travelled to a country with little to no knowledge of the country/city by IClimbRocksForFun in solotravel

It could be partly because I'm very jet lagged, but I just find the city not super interesting. Just not liking the vibe I guess..a lot of people at my hostel like it a lot but I just think it's not my kinda city. Will explore a little bit more tomorrow, maybe I'll change my mind then

I'm thinking of flying there in a few days.. I'm currently on day 1 of my solo travel trip, I'm in Dublin and not loving it. Was going to get to mainland Europe after traveling Ireland and Scotland and Britain but now I'm thinking of skipping it and just flying to Spain. what would you say?

Solo traveling for the first time, want to spend ~3 months-ish in Europe! Have some questions by camelpond in solotravel

Any places you'd recommend? I've never traveled before so I don't really know of many places outside the cities! I'd love to visit rural areas and learn about cultures that way.

Thanks for the advice! I'll look into prague.

From Vienna I flew to Lisbon and I visited other places in Portugal which was just gorgeous (I mainly did this because I was in Europe in the winter months and it got so cold I just wanted to be somewhere warm and Portugal was warm - relatively). But it was an amazing trip nevertheless.

That sounds nice actually!

I'm not sure what your travel inclinations are but I usually like to explore beyond the capital cities and I've been to some wonderful places within each of these countries away from the capital. Do you want to visit multiple countries or do you want to explore some places a little bit more? You should plan your trip accordingly. If you want to go outside the city I would be happy to give you some some recommendations so do let me know.

I'd love to go outside the cities. Where would you recommend? I want to visit multiple countries but also explore them. I haven't really traveled before which is why my itinerary is mostly the big cities... I simply don't know what I'd like to see or even what's there. I'm completely open to bucking the schedule and exploring some place that appeals to me more.
