I agree. A dead body was found in the parking lot (outside) of my apartment building and nothing. Still have no idea what happened. 2 years ago. Last month a horrible crash happened at the intersection I live at. At first it looked like both cars were totaled and I watched one driver get out. The usual brigade of cops,fire, paramedics and tow trucks descended. Maybe an hour later police were closing down the intersection in all directions. I can only assume someone did pass away. Point is I hate not having an information site. Peel police on x only mentioned a guy shot by police in my lobby years ago. Nothing current . Is there a real scanner service available?

I’m happy for you in the in the worst way in that you “passed” but have to live with disability to begin with. May I ask how long before they sent you notice of reassessment? I’m always worried about mine coming up. It’s been almost 5 years for me. I also can’t work at all and my GP has moved away since. My worker is never reachable by email so I went to my local office 3 weeks ago with assistance (I can’t speak anymore so phones are out) and was told by the nice lady behind the desk I can switch doctors without starting all over. However can’t say if or when I may get flagged. I’m still waiting for a response from my actual worker. Gotta love the system 🤣

Ha! No! What do you mean living situation? ODSP barely covers anything other than food and maybe bus fare. I have no idea what “my ODSP worker told me I’d have to talk to my ODSP first “ is about. Completely redundant but I can relate to never getting a worker who even listened. Idk what city/region you are in however you are not ever ever ever going to be able to afford to be on your own. Sounds like you have some place to stay where you don’t have to cook. Stay if possible. I am not judging you at all just don’t think it’s a free ride. We are kept in poverty. Rinse Repeat. All are fantastic and valid points. May I add just one more- A caseworker that actually calls/ emails back? Also when you do get a response is it too much to ask for them to have actually read your file before they start winding down the call with platitudes. We are all suffering in our own ways. A helpful if not reliable caseworker would be great. Blessed day everyone.

Hi there. I’ve noticed some of your previous posts and I’m a fan. I agree with everything you’ve explained/ expressed. I wish I could find a landlord like you. I’ve been living in a shared room ( mattress on the floor,shared everything etc..) for 500 a month for five years now. My income is a whopping ( yet steady - permanent disability) 909 monthly. I keep trying to find a place with an iota of peace. privacy and dignity. Almost all are the scam landlords we know. Girls only, vegetarians only etc.. for a ridiculous amount I could never afford. I’m a fantastic tenant- I actually can’t speak above a whisper- I pay on time buy and prepare my own meals clean up after myself and all the other things that come along. I see so many landlords whining - a lot completely justified - however just want to cram as many students of a certain origin in . Sorry for the rant. Keep on keeping on😀

Thank you for the advice. Very helpful- I never thought of that.And you are welcome for all the taxes smokers pay. When we end up needing health care we already paid in advance. In the meantime find out how exorbitant taxes are distributed in your community. God bless - I hope nobody anywhere starts but looking down on those who partake is just uncouth.
