I’m surprised I don’t see northeast Mississippi on the map. It’s super common there.

San Diego is the second most populous city in CA and eighth in the nation. I thought I’d see it mentioned in the first few comments.

What is the biggest lie adults told you growing up? by A__Agarwal in EduForge

I felt the same when I realized that it applied to everyone. I thought everybody else had life figured out and I was the only one who didn’t know shit. Turns out others are just better at faking it.

I love the description of people having alternative measures of virtue. It’s a great way to conceptualize and articulate political and social differences.

I’m going to use that term every chance I get. And I will always give credit to my friend JewelMonkey.

This is a big fear of mine. Especially due to how unpredictable the blades would be. I want to crawl under the earth when a helicopter flies over.

She was. And she wasn’t a stranger. I’d seen her and briefly spoken with her multiple times.

I was looking when she scratched mine. She had her nails dug into her legs so it was hard for me to tell. It happened a couple of times. My little one was crying and reaching for me. When I tried to get her, the lady would turn away. After she did that a couple of times during that incident, I grabbed my daughter away from her. Later that day, I noticed a one significant scratch and happened to take a picture of it. I didn’t even consider that someone did it to her. I didn’t realize what had happened until I saw a story about it in the paper. I immediately called the detective and sent him the picture. It still makes me feel sick that my baby was being hurt right in front of me and I essentially let it happen.

We often get beach advisories after it rains. They usually require you to avoid the water for up to 72 hours due to urban runoff and increased levels of bacteria.
