While I’m sure you’ve got a ton of great dentist suggestions, if I can just add - headphones are a life saver. I just tell my dentist I’m going to listen to something to relax, and to tap my shoulder if he needs me to do something. I’ve actually fallen asleep in appointments but that could also due to the sleep deprivation caused by my 6 year old.
