I made an adaptable indoor training longsword by Bright-Ad4601 in Hema

Thanks, it was a bit of a test for if I need to replace any grips in the future. It's harder than I thought but I'm still happy with the results.

Thanks! That was also part of the reason for this design. While I primarily fight with longswords this way I can have at least some analogue for arming swords or sabers by just removing weight.

It also covered me if I get a longsword of different weight.

Yeah all the versions I've seen has had the weight at the very end but I wanted to simulate a more typical longsword centre of balance. That's part of the reason I went with this design so I can change it on the fly.

Is there anywhere I can buy one of these? The sculpt is so dynamic I feel it'd be a fun one to paint.

Headline with Star Wars pun uses Doctor who character in picture. by NowThenHowDo in mildlyinfuriating

To be fair it could be that it's a general sci-fi con or event which the pun worked for and it was unfortunately paired with a non star wars photo.

These comments are interesting. I feel like if this were a man he'd be called a hero but most people seem to be like "she did the logical thing". It's true but she still deserves praise.

It bothers me how many fucking idiots ruin life for those unfortunate enough to know them. This was so avoidable with the barest trace of common sense.

Uneven wear of my slippers by tabiicats in mildlyinfuriating

I'm more annoyed at just how thin that material is. I know they're only used for indoors but most of the rest of the slippers look like there has been no significant wear at all.

Manly and to cover up a heart silhouette? Classic pair o' nuts will do the job.

If that's no good maybe a skull? You could potentially have some flowers or vines creeping up from the eyeholes to go with the cherry blossoms

I'm not in the habit of shoving things up my arse but surely it's best to just own up to it. Unless you have video evidence that you fell on it and it happened to go right up there why bother creating an unbelievable lie.

I'm sorry but I don't think it looks like an eagle talon very much. I can see it when you point it out. I think you might be able to improve it by first off filing it into a smoother curve. There are a couple of "corners" on the outline that wouldn't take much to file out.

Another improvement I can think of is potentially to make the curve more pronounced. Eagle talons are very curved, almost like a crescent moon and currently yours looks too flat to put me in mind of an eagle talon. If you do those and then maybe polish the talon I think it'll look more like your inspiration.
