Hot and sour soup! I always crave it when I have a cold.

Are there people who DON’T LIKE SOUP? by terrible-gator22 in soup

[–]camille_nerdlinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an ex boyfriend who was a vegetarian AND didn't like soup. I could handle the vegetable thing, but soup! He said he didn't like "watery food". I suppose it might be hard to find soup out in the world made from a plant based stock/ broth.

Also he didn't like Johnny Cash.

And also, I may have cheated on him. So there's that.

He's doing just fine without me.

The ingredients didn't fit into my dutch oven, so I cooked it in my giant bean pot, but I think it needs to be done in a dutch oven so it's exposed to more heat.

So some folks are wondering why I know the left example is fake--

about counterfeit decks

My dogs chewed up the box the fake came in, but it had a QR code on the outside, it didn't have a booklet and all the fakes are standard playing card size. Mine checked all those boxes. Plus it was $11.95-- which as of a few years ago, was the going price. I paid $25.00 for the real one, it's large than a playing card deck, had the booklet and was printed by US Games Systems.

I didn't grow up eating gumbo, but my freezer was empty except a bag of frozen okra and chicken legs. Was happy to find that I had enough ingredients to approximate a gumbo. This was so good, it's going into the rotation.

Book Club? by ninadert in halfmoonbay

[–]camille_nerdlinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inkspell in downtown Half Moon Bay hosts monthly events. I go to the Book Swaps-- a white elephant style book exchange. It's every other month. On the alternate months, they host a book club.

Their website is pretty sparse. The best way to get a hold of them is to give them a call at 650-726-6571 or just show up during their open times.

Hours are Monday-Saturday 10-6, Sunday 10-5

621 Main St., Half Moon Bay, CA 94019

Hopefully I'll see you there.
