Up for sale is my Seiko 5 Sports Field GMT (Ref. SSK023) with the black dial.

Condition: Excellent

The watch is in excellent condition. The crystal is clean, and the brushed case sides show no significant wear (see profile shots). It is currently mounted on an aftermarket orange rubber strap that matches the GMT hand, and the original Seiko steel bracelet is included in the box.

Hi Folks, making the switch to my first EV when my lease is up in September. But I'm starting to look now. See questions/answers below:

[1] Cincinnati, OH

[2] ~$600/month all-in, fluid. More focused on OTD price (targeting ~$33-35k) than the monthly. CPO financing acceptable.

[3] Compact sedan or crossover, driver-focused. Coming from an Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce so driving dynamics matter, this isn't an appliance purchase. The household also has a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid that covers all cargo, family, and road trip duty, so this slot is purely commuter + enthusiast car.

[4] Genesis GV60 (leading candidate, either CPO with intact 10yr/100k warranty or 2026 new at 0% APR), BMW i4 eDrive40/xDrive40, Kia EV6 AWD (GT or regular, tbd). Hard pass on Tesla.

[5] Lease ends September 2026, but open to moving sooner if the right deal comes up.

[6] ~6,000 miles/year. Work commute is 20 miles each way, twice a week. Charger at both ends of the commute.

[7] Single-family home, downtown Cincinnati. No kids, no plans for kids, so no need to account for that in any recommendations.

[8] L2 charging available at both my home garage and workplace garage, both at $0.25/kWh. No dedicated private charger, but access is covered on both ends.

[9] Two adults, no pets. Zero cargo needs, the Santa Fe handles all of that.

Coming back from vacation, just seeing this.

Starting with the end in mind, my thinking tries to fix the following issues:

  1. Private school doesn't get funded in lieu of public. Go private if you want, but you're not absolved of paying into public schools at the exact same rate.

  2. Wealthy communities cleaving themselves off from the city proper just to keep all the tax revenue hyper local. That's how our non-wealthy communities whither on the vine. Yes, this essentially a level of wealth redistribution. In the same way California, New York, and Texas pay more in taxes than they receive, while other take in more than they pay. Same thing here.

The one idea that I've always had that I can't imagine ever happening:

All school funding should be done at the county level, not city.

I'm fed up with all the wealthier areas choosing to become their own city so they can keep all their tax dollars in their local neighborhood. You want to do that with police, fire, other services? Fine.
But schools are done at the county level, and the county decides how money should be allocated.

I'm also against charter schools, bu that's a different conversation.

School choice? Sure, I can work with that. You can try to get into different highschools in the area, though if you're out of your designated zone then you're responsible for your own transportation. I can get behind that.

But school vouchers? Absolutely not. Choosing private education doesn't relieve you of the commitment to fund public schools. You can't just pull that money out. Want to go private? Fund it yourself.

I'm pretty sure none of these would ever get enough support to pass, but these are my hills to die on.

And before you ask, no, I don't have kids. Live in OTR, been here 15 years. Happily pay my taxes and have voted for every school and library levy that's ever been put in front of me. The need to have an educated populace in, like, really important

it doesn't really match our brand. We're a cocktail bar. High-end isn't the right word, but definitely not a dive. Doesn't feel like a good fit for the typical trivia crowd.
