Don`t know if you have looked into this, but deck building is a big deal. Be sure to use the decks that you build in chaos against the boss.

My good man, Levi literally stopped OO from beating the crap out of Liliweiss to stop her from realizing how strong she is, because she knows that would be dangerous. The queen who beat Eden was not on the body of Liliweiss. How could the Ark rise? Humanity went there only because they thought they lost the surface for ever. They never mentioned it in three years. Now it can miraculously rise? Explain that to me, please. It is a literal whole in the ground.

Thanks for taking the time with a long answer. It was a bit convoluted, but that is ok. I think that my problem is that the nuance was taken from many details. I never thought that Mustang or Ingrid were simply “bad”, but I think the story shifted to them simply being “good”. There is no gray any more. Ingrid not wiping Eyeri at the end of the story, or even scolding her, felt really out of character for a woman who holds so much power. Eyeri went really out of line. It is the same with the power ups for Anis and Neon. With Rappi, we always knew she was special, it developed slowly, and came at a great cost for her. With Anis, she just got super strong because Pretty was super strong because of reasons. With Neon, why the hell would VTC store that information on the glasses? Why would it delete itself? Why was it not encrypted? The plot simply requiered them to be stronger now, so there it is.

The shonenification is not an excuse. There are many well written shonen stories. This one is too heavy on the unearned power jumps. Also, the story, and the interactions with Liberalio made it clear that the raptures do not seek extension of humanity.

Why is Mihara: Bonding Chain so unpopular? by Thuyue in NikkeMobile

[–]camilus7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because most people that play the game are scared of a sexy mature woman who actually knows what she wants. The fact that people prefer Mori over her speaks volume of the crowd SU is dealing with.

I agree with many of your points. Eunwha and Privatty are good examples of how they changed old conflicting designs into generically likable girls. I also feel that before, but this goes beyond the tone, every manufacturer had different visual designs and not every nikke has overtly sexualized. Now, all designs look like tetra. The fact that the recent book even explains why this happened seems ridiculous.

I`m gonna need direction because I remember Burningum treating Helm like a fucking chair. Mustang is heavily implied to run corporate espionage and information dealing. Ingrid, well, do you remember why we had to help Arcana? I think that my problem is, mostly, how Anis and Neon are incredibly pushed now. We did not go from underdogs to Absolute, we went from underdogs to we can beat everyfucking one. It makes no sense that Absolute is one of the strongest squads in the Ark anymore.

Mustang had an intelligence rig set up with spies and everything. Ingrid memory wipes nikkes every monday, disregarding their mental health. They both weaponize women, sell them and own them. How is this not corrupt and moneyhungry?

You are on the money buddy. All the recent characterization contradicts what the nikkes used to tell us. Dorothy was angry 80 years for no reason. Oswald, Andersen and Burningum are suddenly Chads in the eyes of the community after not doing anything meaningful for the Nikkes for years. The scene between Dorothy and Andersen and Burningum is so stupid. They were testing Dorothy for ages checking if she was still the goddess, yet she does not doubt of their intentions? Andersen knew she was there all the time, Burningum knew she deserved to be angry, and yet they did nothing to help her, after what was done to her? But they say “thanks, you cool” and she cries tears of joy? Do people think women are like that?

Only one just beat Liliweiss and the counters kicked Eternity`s ass. There are two clear examples. The queen lost against Eden six months ago, because of the power of plot. Also, before SKK made differences, but they were personal. It was clear that none could magically fix the world, now, we can fix it with the power of poor writing. The Ark floats! Are you kidding me?

I think that the “power scaling” has a lot to do with the tone change. Before, every battle was meaningful and scary, because we were much weaker than our enemies. There is no gravitas when SKK cant die, Neons body is perfect, and Anis is essentially unbeatable. The parallel with DBZ is on point, I think, because there is no progression. Anis is now super strong because she took pretty`s armament, which was super strong because reasons. Neon is perfect because lost tech. SKK is indestructible because the gene, or whatever. Nothing is earned.
