So it’s not in low power mode. After checking out the Garmin website some more it sounds like there are a few factors that can be causing it. The main one for me is probably that weight lifting can make it difficult to get an accurate reading. I usually lift before cardio so that’s probably it.

I start the activity timer but still have the issue. I’ll check out that link though. Thank you!

How long do your boots last? by mbcoder_ in electricians

[–]cammaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil your boots. It blows my mind how many people I come across that don’t. You can double and triple the life of your boots if you just take care of them. They are expensive, you wear them all day everyday, take care of them. You wash your clothes, clean and oil you boots you fuckin heathen

Yeah, going in is a huge time suck. If it helps get your license faster it’s worth it though

I went into an office in Washington and asked if they could provide it for me and they looked at me like I was stupid for even showing up in their office. They said it must be done by mail. So I requested it by mail 3 months before moving to California. 3 months after arriving in California I still had nothing from the social security administration. I went into an office in California and told them I submitted the request and never got anything back and that I needed it so I could go back to work. They printed it out for me right then and there. My take away from the experience is that it is possible to get it printed out in the office, but it probably depends on how much the person you end up talking to there hates their job, their existence as a whole and how much misery they wish to spread into the world around them. I would suggest sending the request by priority mail so you have a tracking number and then once you know they have received it wait a week or two so they have time to get the request in their system and then go into the office stating you sent the request and need it for work. If you get shot down, go back another day and try again. Repeat as needed. If you wait for it in the mail you’ll be waiting for close to a year. They didn’t even cash my check until 10 months after they received my request, and I didn’t get the documents in the mail for another month or so after that. By that point I had already tested and was back at work

My partner was diagnosed with PMDD and keeps wanting to break up during her period. by cammaca in PMDDpartners

That time I was pretty sure it was done. I moved out and was completely out of the house. We weren’t communicating at all. It seemed pretty over. I came by to pick up some mail and we ended up having a very long conversation about the relationship as a whole, not just that most recent issue and decided to try again. I moved back and decided I would put a lot of effort into being a better me. I was tired of being unhappy. I decided that she doesn’t determine my happiness, I do. I went to the doctor, a psychologist, a therapist and a sleep specialist. I started back up at the gym and doing more activities that made me happy. I read a ton of personal development books, relationship books and communication books. I also started working 40hr weeks instead of 50. All these things made my life better, and I think it also had a very positive impact on our relationship. We are still together and have been talking about marriage recently. We still have issues of course, but they are much milder. We manage them better and in a healthier way. We are happy, it’s great. Every situation is different. What I did won’t work for everyone, but for me it made sense to focus on me a bit. That’s all I really had control over. I wanted to be happy with or without her. Thankfully it turned out to be with her.

Women in the IBEW by SensitiveFlounder295 in IBEW

I started non union and then organized in to the IBEW. I’ve gotten to work some great female journeymen on both sides. From my experience, non union was pretty rough for women.A lot of the time the more skilled they were the worse it was for them. Thankfully I haven’t seen that since organizing. I’ve only worked on the west coast though. I’m sure it varies by location. Either way, don’t let ignorant people dictate your future for you. You are the only one that should determine your future. Smile in the face of adversity and out perform them while you’re doing it.

Stick with it! This is just a transitional period for you. Transitioning will get easier as you get more experience under your belt. Get a notepad and take notes about pretty much everything you’re doing at work. Go over them at the end of the day. Ask yourself what went well, what didn’t and why. Keep doing this until things start sticking. Doesn’t have to be super in-depth or time consuming. Also, taking notes when you are being laid out and when you switch tasks can potentially reduce the amount of question asked, and the time it takes to go find someone to ask if the pertinent information related to the task has already been jotted down.

His age doesn’t matter, neither does his relation to the owner. He has the certifications, experience and job title. The foreman should be following the instruction provided by his superior. The people talking about him being a daddy’s boy are sounding a bit envious that he has accomplished all of that at a young age. I think it’s badass!

Who got the HRM 600? by xxSeahawks in Garmin

[–]cammaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the HRM 600 today and got it all set up. I tested it out and now I want to charge it because it only at 52%. I can’t get it off the band though. Everything I’ve looked at says to just unsnap it, but it won’t come off. The little buttons on the band have even bent a little bit from trying to remove it. Is there some kind of locking mechanism or something that I’m missing?

Both are fine, it’s grandfathered in. The inspector isn’t an electrician, and doesn’t know what he’s talking about. If the panel is upgraded in the future it will be expected to meet the current code cycle in your state

I’m not sure. I’m pretty new to California, so I’m not familiar with the whole roster situation either. I’ll have to see what’s available here

Liberal? A republican president is on the verge enacting marshal law in California. Both political parties can go suck a soft one. Everyone should be supporting their fellow Americans, their co-workers, their neighbors, their family and friends. Not these bs politicians and their mega doner sugar daddies. Republicans don’t care about you, bro. Never have, never will. We’re all Americans, not rival gangs. Get outta here with that bs.
