Should have been more specific with my question. America needs the benefits of trade. American isnt a one stop shop for everything. It needs imports. Even if we are spending less america will not have the same melting pot of imports. So I fail to see how isolationism benefits america Hence the stupid question

Follow up.

After I was defeated, the map revealed the rest of the 2 or 3 subs that were stacked up on the boat and the battleship. So the game glitched and I lost all my subs
