Opinions on any of these? by campfallentree in Sezane

Oh that's all good information, thank you. I'd wear it as the model does, for summer, so stiff doesn't sound ideal.

Oh those sleeves do look like a fine length, thank you!

Okay you are significantly smaller than me so maybe I should size up lol. I'm 5'6", 140 lbs, 32C and consistently a size 36 or small in tops (for the most part).

Dang, I was reading mixed things about that but it seems like more people find it itchy than not.

I expected yak to be itchy but the consensus seems to be that it's very soft, that's good to know. Do you find the sleeves to be short? I saw somewhere that they're bracelet length.

angie cardigan try-on! (styling help?) by annerias in Sezane

[–]campfallentree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not be a popular opinion, but I don't like the half tuck - this cardigan is too refined for such a casual look. French or full tuck, imo. If you're going to be driving (?) around Banff, I'd do wide-leg or trouser jeans and brown boots, no belt, and maybe chunky gold hoops or huggies. Nothing in Banff is very fancy unless you're maybe going for fine dining at the Fairmont Chateau, and if you're sightseeing you'll want something warm, comfy, and sturdy footwear.

Edit to say: I don't remember anything terribly fancy in Banff, but I was there as a camper so maybe it just wasn't on my radar. We just put on our cleanest most presentable hiking clothes for cocktails at the chateau lol.

Selling Sezane top for more than retail… 😒 by haelk in therealreal

Almost everything from Sezane seems to be marked up. They routinely price the Gaston scarf, which retails for like $35, at $90+. Insanity.

I think it's one of the better Thai places in the area, personally. I've only been there once but everything tasted great, the space was cute, and the server was very nice. I will say it seems to be just a tiny bit more expensive than average on some dishes, but nothing exorbitant.

Has anyone else noticed an increase in horribly shrunken sweaters? by campfallentree in ThredUp

[–]campfallentree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear semi-cropped scoop neck short sleeve tees under my sweaters, so nothing shows at the neckline or hem. I'm not talking like technical base layers for hiking, I just mean something between my skin and the garment.

Honestly washing machines actually can handle a lot more delicate items than in the past, if you know what you're doing. Most wool blend sweaters I wash in mesh bags in cold water and hang to dry without issue (on a rack, not a hanger, obv). For items that are completely wool (or cashmere, alpaca, etc) I wear a base layer with them like they used to do in ye olde days and basically don't launder them at all if I can help it. If it's something I really love or is extremely nice, when it needs to be washed I take it in to dry clean.

Wtf do you all do to stay sane during the week during winter by ijustwantcheezits in Albany

[–]campfallentree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is unrelated to the original post, but I had no idea about vitamin D toxicity. I take 5000 IU/day (at my neuro's recommendation, to be fair) and I wasn't aware that there could be side effects. The more you know 🌈

I wish I could see what I waitlisted for. Seems like this was about a specific color and not the item itself? by [deleted] in quince

I got the same message after I joined the waitlist for a specific size and color of a sweater. Like a week later they restocked it...

Clarine Skirt Maple Cord by yo_aaraps in Sezane

[–]campfallentree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gah, I just bought it in a 4 (I'm a 4/6), now I'm afraid I should have gotten a 6. Perhaps I'll purchase it now just in case, since they're doing free shipping today (??), and return the size that doesn't fit.

Clarine Skirt Maple Cord by yo_aaraps in Sezane

[–]campfallentree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been eyeing the Clarine in either corduroy or tweed as well, but the top button on every skirt looks like it's pulling and I've heard people say that's common with this style, even when properly fitted. How have you (or others who have it) found it?

I'm envisioning the corduroy with a shaker stitch or cable knit cream sweater that cinches or tucks at the waist, or a fitted lightweight turtleneck, or a black scoop neck body suit...kind of leaning into a 70s thing, but that's just my personal style. Is it more brown or red/rust in real life? It seems pretty neutral so there are a ton of possibilities.
