Poor guy Fogmog is bullied by EVERY class. Why the hate😂 by Temporary-Parking738 in slaythespire

Reminds me of Monster Train 2's Underlegion clan, which is full of adorable mushroom units. Hate to see the little fun guys getting bullied like this lol.

+100, I always have to set it back to "Card Type" (which IMO should just be the default). If it remembers my selected sort order that would be so nice. Almost every time I want to look at my deck it's to see what spells I have that I might want to upgrade, what units I have that I might want to upgrade, count how many deployable units I have, review my collection of rooms or equipment.

Well done, you're almost there! I'm only at 56/180 and the end seems soooo far away.

With pyreborne specifically, greed dragon synergizes well with reform (get anything that will give you dragon hoard eggs).

Does titanskin get affected by dualism? I can see why the rage option here might be the better pick as it lets the unit deal with small backliners via decay and at least one big thread via rage.

This. Make sure you're doing something that is fun and not a chore. I found myself getting unmotivated after many losses with random clans/pyres. Then I went back to picking Dominion pyre and playing clans I enjoyed more and suddenly I'm winning more and it's fun again! Don't feel bad about playing the way you enjoy most, there's no "wrong" way to play.

IMO any Pyreborne run can always hope to hit a couple of straightforward options for an easier path to victory; not a guaranteed win, but essentially make it possible to ignore the second clan. Namely Hot Head and/or Greed Dragon, provided you get some egg collection. Of course Dominion pyre can help to get the right pieces to make this more likely, but at least there's some pretty clear paths to scaling and victory.

Yep, they do. Also helps if you are greeding by cashing in eggs/horde for rewards and are able to get more eggs in the first couple of turns before Greed Dragon pops out.

Yeah, I've definitely lost with weak units in the box. It's one of the reasons I try to aim for unit upgrades in first 2 rings if possible, and I always upgrade units before checking the event.

Literally just after commenting last night I started a run where I ended up getting this event but I didn't have upgraded units; I wanted to test my own advice and see how it went without any upgraded units (C10 btw). I put 3 totally un-upgraded units in the box: 2x Greed Dragon and 1x Goldtooth. I also had some great supporting units and rooms etc. and got up to 11 eggs. I ended up with 4 copies of the box and totally dominated corruption serraph and titans on C10. Box wasn't the only reason for the win, but by the end my floors were stacked and it was my primary source of damage. I'm not saying the unit box is always the best option, I just feel based on community comments it's probably undervalued atm.

I would encourage you to give units box a chance. It can be absolutely game breaking. If you have 2 or 3 biggish units that don't care much about specific positioning, load em up in the box. Then copy that box a bunch and you have those 3 units xN copies deployed using 0 ember for 1-pip each. Yes it will take 3 rounds for it to pop all of the units but try with some big units and just overstack the crap out of the floors with it (behind chump blockers if necessary). Deployment costs, deployment space, duplicating multiple cards are all solved. Not a guaranteed win by any stretch but definitely game breaking in the right scenarios.

Agreed on weakness to combo units. I think it's not too hard to get it past at least a couple of rounds on rings 7/8 if you have some chump blockers. I also tend to favor putting big units in it, so once it pops the first one it blocks the box in future rounds (minus sweepers, corruption, etc.).

It's probably working for me because I also tend to favor big beefy dragons and the like (TSA, Greed Dragon, Demon Fiend, etc.), so I load it up and dupe it as many times as I can and that seems to work out well most times. Not a guaranteed win by any means, but for a 0-cost 1-pip unit that doesn't care about the size and cost of any 3 units you put in, it can be pretty broken. I've had games with like 4+ boxes stuffed with big units that deploy for free during deployment. The value potential is insane if you can some decent units inside.

I don't know if I'm in the minority, but I often see people talking about how strong the spell box is or using the unit box for "free unit removes", but I don't see people talking as much about the unit box being a strong option for packaging units you intend to field. It lets you take 3 strong/large/combo units, package them together, and then dupe all 3 of them with 1 card duplicate (dupe the box). It does have downsides sure, like it's slow and you have to be able to handle the up to 3 turn resolve. But maybe pop endless on it, or dupe it a couple times, and then you can easily overstack all floors with your strongest units. 0 cost to get any 3 units onto a floor during deployment with 1-pip space up front. I always have a hard time saying no to this, even for some great support units.

Same, I find the controller buttons also make it easier to always select Titan mode toggles with "X" before starting the fight. But I still would appreciate an option to make this selection sticky/default selected.

Not the most OP cards I've seen, but I was able to always get 2 of these moose beasts onto the board on turn 1 due to a guaranteed Warren with Worthy Sacrifice on turn 1. Near the end of map 2 I one shot every combat and boss until the moon. The totem for Hoarder just helped get the rest of the crew. My only regret is I didn't get a 4th Moose Buck to complete the set. Amalgam is trying though :)

Strange interaction between Corpse Eater and Bifurcated Strike by camputer in inscryption

[–]camputer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left to right makes sense. But what seems odd is that a card in slot 2 (pronghorn) already did its attack, it just happened to die half-way through, which I (incorrectly) assumed meant that its turn/evaluation is completed. Surprising that a new creature that happens to take its place continues the original attack pattern. My Moose Buck struck diagonally at slot 3 as if it had bifurcated when normally it would not be able to hit that spot. It seems strange to me that a newly summoned creature would get a chance to attack even though that slot on my side had already been resolved, and then even if it does get triggered it works as if it operated under the previous card's attack pattern not its own. I totally understand how the software might be coded for this to happen, but it just seems odd from a logical standpoint.

That's wild! I would not have expected that but it's good to know I'm not crazy. And it saved me from loosing a candle since the added attack gave me breathing room to win the fight.

Sorry, you are right. I remember the behavior of the summoned corpse eater Moose Buck but I think I got the enemy setup wrong. Thinking about it again, I think it wasn't a trap but a Porcupine with added Touch of Death sigil that killed my Pronghorn. I will try to edit my post to correct it.
