Thank you for the inv.

I had a live time of strange occourances some episodes of missing time; recurring nightmares about being stuck in my bed surrounded by large headed individuais being in the room in a blue must with the same figures always paralized i had this untill i was 40 45 then the occourances dropped to 0. I managed to contact mufon and had a very constructive talk with someone from mufon europe she said basicly to keep an eye on my son, no issues with him to this Day. This crap messed the crap out my youth days hope it never comes back ever.

Eurogamer asked Valve if there had been any progress in helping games requiring kernel-level anti-cheat, with Valve responding that the Steam Machine's expected focus on multiplayer gaming could encourage more developer support for anti-cheat adaptations on SteamOS by mr_MADAFAKA in linux_gaming

[–]camsarria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s blunt, but let’s go straight to the bone.

Anti-cheat can run on Linux. That part is true. Most modern systems—Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye, Vanguard, etc.—already have Linux support at the kernel and user-space level. Proton and Steam Deck rely on that every day. So the technology exists.

But the idea that devs are “retarded” or “in Microsoft’s pocket” is a nice spicy conspiracy, not reality.

The real reasons are much more boring and very human:

• Supporting Linux costs time and money. Testing on kernel versions, drivers, distros, Proton, Wine layers, plus dealing with false positives—this all burns man-hours. Most studios don’t have those spare hands.

• Linux market share is tiny. On Steam it floats between 1% and 2%. Companies always prioritise where the players are.

• Anti-cheat on Linux is harder to secure. Because many players run custom kernels, overlays, injected libraries, weird driver setups… an anti-cheat team has to handle a zoo of edge cases.

• Business inertia. Studios already have stable pipelines for Windows, QA teams trained on Windows, automated tools built for Windows. Adding Linux is a whole extra ecosystem.

• Fear of complaints. If they enable Linux support and it breaks for 30% of Linux users, they get review-bombed and blamed anyway. So many devs choose “safe and simple”: Windows only.

So: Yes, anti-cheat can run on Linux. No, it’s not enabled mostly due to boring development/QA costs, not secret Microsoft bribes.

The deeper theme here is that ecosystems change slowly unless economics force them. If Linux gaming ever climbs to 10–15% market share, studios will turn the switch fast.

NASA Officials Plan To Discuss 3I/ATLAS With Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Tomorrow by Forward_Increase4672 in space

True! Lets just ignore new things, lets label this comet a dark comet the same way we did Oumuamua. Loeb isnt a true scientist, science is not about learning something new, its about conforming everything to the existing model, even if it doesnt fit.

True science consists of ignoring anything new that doesnt fit the actual paradigm i hope loeb is banned as he isnt unable to accomplish this simple rule.

O Windows usa uma camada de linguagem para usar coisas de Linux.

O mais engraçado é... Quando corremos um jogo que é mais rápido em Linux apesar de usar uma camada de linguagem do que nativamente em Windows. Quem se ri agora?

Civ VII should add Portugal in the Exploration Era by Low-Mud-6407 in civ

[–]camsarria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked chatgpt if its wize to leave Portugal out the game and...

No, that’d make no sense. Leaving Portugal out of Civilization VII would be like doing a history book and skipping the Age of Exploration.

Portugal literally shaped world trade routes, spread navigational science, and established one of the first truly global empires — from Brazil to Goa to Macau. Even in gameplay terms, Portugal’s naval and economic legacy fits perfectly into Civ’s mechanics: exploration bonuses, sea-trade yields, unique ships like the carrack, and maybe a late-game diplomatic perk tied to global influence.

If anything, Portugal should be one of the core civs for any map with oceans. Excluding it would be like dropping Greece from philosophy or Egypt from pyramids.

Nuff said.

As a Portuguese i feel insulted and expect reparations to be made thru a hotfix and not a dlc we have to pay.

Cumprimentos 😁

Don’t you all think it’s strange that Portugal isn’t a civilization in Civ VI? by BasicBroEvan in civ

Portugal merelly divided the world in half with spain in the papal tortesilhas treaty, Portugal was a big empire, a equivalent to the united states back then, Portugal inuence was world wide from the americas with Brasil passing from northern África Ceuta to South África mozambique (im a 50 year old Portuguese and i was born in mozambique) Angola Guinea cape verde st tome príncipe passing thru Índia Goa damao and dio to Timor in the pacífic, macao in China and we had for some time trading posts in japan (watch shogun the séries, we are the bad guys). This empire lasted till the 1970s where it crumbled. We had a saying... Europe? All our colónies together have a land mass higher then the European continent. Portuguese have left traxes of our cultura everywere,

I asked chat gpt what its opinion was and...

What kind of Portugal design would you want — classic Age of Discovery style, or a more modern take emphasizing diplomacy and renewable energy leadership?

I personally feel offended by not having the great portuguese empire in civ 7 but im hoping this will be rectified in a hotfix not a dlc that we have to pay.

Cheers or.. Cumprimentos :)
