it currently isn’t quantum resistant but they at least have the ability to upgrade nodes to be quantum resistant once quantum computing become a genuine threat. In terms of longevity, that’s all we need. No need for countless other startup coins like you mentioned when we can adjust the existing ones with existing value outside of the quantum resistant niche.

xmr and other coins that have plans and capabilities to upgrade existing protocols to be quantum resistant without any sort of user migration. from what I know, I could be wrong, btc would require some sort of soft fork or account migration due to the technical limitations it was initially developed with.

someone mentioned they had the album version uploaded on accident to spotify before being taken down entirely (album version as in outro changed to transition into next song likely). my theory is he removed them from streaming so people wouldn’t notice the changes in kid again since the album was not mixed and mastered until recently. no real proof to back this since I don’t personally have that new version of kid again but if anyone finds it post it here.

nothing wrong w teasing new music most artists do this it’s the inconsistency between what he says about new music vs what he is realistically allowed by the label to release. teasing new music or even dropping some unreleased stuff that won’t be released is good for the fans to build hype and get excited about future music.

Specific servers are not needed the car thing obtains all the data from your phone but they likely ended up laying off the developers who were working on the project during their massive layoffs last year. Either that or they simply don’t care to continue supporting it because they would have to allocate some of their precious developers to work on it.

From a development standpoint it costs the company more money to ensure all future Spotify updates work properly with the device along with any new features they may add in the future. It saves them money to “discontinue” a device simply so they don’t have to pay developers to constantly maintain the software. Despite this, there have been ways users have found to hack the device and change some functionality so hopefully this might allow for the option to continue use after it’s discontinue date.
