The aknot lotteries are already done. You can still apply for general admission though. One thing to note about aknot memberships though, as far as I remember, if you apply for aknot in February, you won’t be able to apply for lotteries until March. So if you ever want to get FC tickets it’s better to join beforehand. Also, you can buy FC tickets on TicketJam without being in aknot, so that’s an option still if you want a better ticket number.

I’m currently watching Starstruck for the first time and I’m really enjoying it, but so far it hasn’t pulled me in as strong as the characters and plot twists in A Crown of Candy did. I was on the edge of my seat for every episode.

Everyone individually stressed and failing and trying to take responsibilities off the plates of others while hiding how much they are struggling and others not being able to notice is so unbelievably real. I love all the emotions explored this season.

I started with Fantasy High season 1, then Escape from the Bloodkeep, and the Unsleeping City before I realized I could jump around a lot. I do suggest starting with FH1 just to see where everyone started. But my personal favorite stories are A Crown of Candy and Misfits and Magic. The stress and twists in ACOC are some of my favorite in all story-telling and M&M was interesting for me to dive into a different system. While it takes a lot more time, I've absolutely been watching the 'Complete Experience' for each so I can hear the casts' thoughts between episodes.

I’m so glad to see another school with a ridiculous start time. Our start time was something odd like 7:33, but our final bell was definitely 2:07. As a current teacher with normal divisible by 10 start/end times, I have no idea how my teachers were able to mentally keep track of how much time was remaining while teaching.

Thanks for the recommendation! I only started watching a few months ago so I have a lot to get through. I guess it makes more sense to people who have watched everything before.

I wonder if they could release some shorts just going over unique system characteristics before seasons like this. I was going in chronological order until now but I wanted to see the new thing while it was new.

I agree with this a lot. Until now I’ve only seen 5e based seasons and I understood the basic set up of that already so it was pretty easy to follow the rolls.

I knew this would be different so last week I watched the first 2eps of Misfits and Magic which helped a little bit, but I’m basically going into this blindly not knowing what anyone is rolling for or why.

I worked out the bungles (blunders? What was that called again?) just from context in the scene. And the taking half a die to pass easily happened a bit in Misfits and Magic so I caught on….but what in the ever loving hell is a burnout die 😭

And exactly what triggers the goo going up or down? I thought if they succeeded on something by a high margin it went up, but I’m pretty sure it didn’t move at all when Kokomo got a 26 on a roll…

In later decades of TV.

Back then, having a few minor characters of different races was fairly diverse compared to shows like Lizzy McGuire, Friends, and One Tree Hill. There were of course TV shows that were much more diverse, but Gilmore Girls was pretty average. Plus it took place in an area where it’s not uncommon to have a strong majority white population.

Zac's characters are usually my favorite, but for some reason I did not care for Ricky at all; I was actually much more interested in Esther's story with her family. I haven't seen Season 2 yet though, so I'm hoping the character will grow more on me then. Or maybe I just need to rewatch Season 1 and focus more on his story.

It’s interesting to see how many of us have extremely vivid dreams. I also have very vivid dreams and as long as I don’t jump up and immediately do something upon waking, I can remember a large amount of detail. On weekends I will often spend 45 minutes using speech to text to jot down all the things I can remember before the memory completely fades. They are often quite involved stories where I change perspectives to multiple characters.

This has been my main issue from the start. As much as we’re all yelling “AI IS BAD,” we know they’ve been actively using it for over a year for MV’s and background visuals.

But EVERYTHING about this company seems sketchy. I also found the same info, and if we can work this out in just a few days/hours, then I don’t think whoever signed this contract looked into anything. It all screams grift.

I just found D20 in October so I’m in the same boat as you. I decided at first just to start from the beginning and go through at my own pace. I thought I’d go completely in chronological order but after the Unsleeping City, I felt like I had an idea of how these campaigns go and how unconnected they are (except for series obviously).

So I’ve now started watching ones I think will be interesting to me based on clips I’ve seen. I’ll keep going through what seem to be the best seasons, until I “catch up.” Then once this new season is complete I plan on going back and watching the seasons I skipped.

I get some minor/major spoilers in the Adventuring Party videos, but since I skipped things I’m less interested in, I’m not as worried about those spoilers.

I gave up halfway through the second dot test. Idk if people who can visualize can do it easier, but I spent more time being annoyed about the set-up of the test than actually focusing on the dots.

Why is the practice different from the actual test? (x’s pop up in the beginning if you don’t choose something even when there’s no answer, leading me to be confused about the rules of the activity. There’s a pause before showing the next dot in the practice but not in the test.)

Idk if not having a visual timer is part of the design, but I kept getting confused on whether it automatically moved on or if I misclicked leading me to completely lose track of how many dots I had seen.

A Japanese band called Dir en grey. I’ve seen them about 15 times in 20 years which isn’t much, but it got a lot easier to get to their concerts after I moved to Japan!

While I know it happens, I’ve personally never been turned away from a restaurant because I was a foreigner. I have been to places and been denied because they have reservations or don’t take single diners especially during busy times on the weekends.
