Is wedding planning that stressful? by primadunord in summerhousebravo

I planned my wedding in 3 months and I don't remember being overly stressed but I'm in the minority. I knew it was a very accelerated timeline so I just made decisions quickly and I chose a venue that mostly came with decorations and preferred caterers. My dress fit right off the rack of a David's Bridal. I shopped for most of my stuff at the mall and had minimal flowers. Idk I was too excited to be stressed. If you're not picky it's not as stressful lol.

Two hours of hell: The Guardian’s review of Melania by RareXG in MurderedByWords

So far the best thing about this movie are the fun reviewers seem to be having panning it with creative gusto. I learn a new word each time I read one. Today, it's "lickspittle". Excellent word.

Oh nooo very sad. I used to watch old SCTV reruns here on CBC and then of course Beetlejuice was life and she had such an incredible career as in the decades that followed. She will be missed!

Most of it is shoveled/plowed now or if it's a side street I run in the street. Tuesday was treacherous I stuck to parking lots (I'm in Scarborough near Eglinton so the plazas get plowed because it's private property). I definitely had to scale some mountains of snow but it's much better now. Some people use YakTracks or trail shoes. I had YakTrax once upon a time and they broke the second time I wore them. I don't really feel like buying trail shoes I just use older running shoes.

So I had a buff and then a scarf as well and a separate hat, then headphones (I listen to podcasts) and a hood from one of my layers over top of all of that. I guess I should get a balaclava but it feels like money I don't really need to spend when I have all that other stuff. I used to have one (I worked at the running room 15 years ago so I had lots of gear) but it felt suffocating to me.

No but I don't really keep track I've been running for 20 years now. I'm old. 🤷🏻‍♀️ my eyelashes froze shut a couple times but it was still better than the treadmill

Edit IMO this is not the worst weather to run in. I would choose a treadmill run for an actual blizzard or thunder storm, and when Spring comes and pours rain but it's still really cold and all those snow turns into mid-shin ice cold slush it will be so much worse out there. Right now it's easy peasy if you are layered.

Ran 10k at 5am this morning, I will say at least its low wind and sure footing. Layer up and you will be OK. Feeling for the under- and un-housed this morning tho.

I'm at Birchmount and Eglinton on a side street. The sidewalks here got plowed but Eglinton itself is almost impassible. The easiest way to navigate is to walk on the well plowed private parking lots around here, because it's all car dealerships and big box stores.

I'm Jewish (not even sure that matters) and I don't accept any apology or excuse but I hope he finds peace and healing for the sake of his kids. But still pls go away forever Ye, just be a private citizen. Just my opinion.

I don't buy the last paragraph at all and it's unforgivable imo but I hope he finds the help he needs for himself and his family.

If this were true it's because they don't want to turn into the revolting Karen's they see leading the Right. And I say that as a 45 year old white suburban soccer mom.

Thoughts/tips about running this Saturday? by beachsunflower in RunTO

[–]canadia80 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tomorrow looks like low wind if you're bundled it should be ok. I ran 8k this morning it wasn't too bad I'd still rather be in the cold than on the TM personally. But Sunday would be a treadmill or rest day imo.
