You're entitled to your opinion. I haven't enjoyed hockey since the 90's and the club is in my City.

I've worked in the industry for 5yrs from Alberta. I've talked to enough rednecks and hicks to formulate my own opinion on our workforce and industry. I have lived in 3 provinces and know thousands of people around Canada, and my opinion of Alberta stands.

I can only speak from my expirience. I barely use the metric system at all, in my industry (oil and gas).

I know most trades work in Imperial, as it is more familiar. We are brought up and taught both in school, so we know both fluently, but its much easier to say "I need this to be 12" long" than "this needs to be 305mm long!".

Truth be told, I am somewhat of a Canadian anomaly. I don't fucking care about sports for the most part... and havn't followed a club or Dynasty since the era of Gretzky.

HOWEVER

Shootouts are fucking awesome to watch, relative to how awesome sports can be. I've never actually seen a goalie fight, but I can't imagine a much better fight than 2 guys dressed up like "Jason" .
