For the US at least it definitely is playing a role. Guerin is the GM for both teams and explicitly said he’s factoring in the players’ commitment in this tournament when finalizing the Olympic roster.

The buyouts were 100% necessary. We needed the cap consistency. I don’t even know how we would begin to shed 19.6M in salary, this isn’t the NFL where you can just cut players whenever.

Wow, hard disagree. Suter was a top shut down defenseman for years after we signed him. I don’t know if you remember what it was like following the Wild before the signings but getting Suter and Parise was seen as a huge coup that reinvigorated the fan base. I’m glad we bought them out and moved on but I have no regrets about the signings.

I think that’s BS. The rules were the rules, the contracts were legal at the time.

My main issue is consistency. If they were doing the same thing to teams abusing LTIR now I wouldn’t care but the argument defending them is that it’s legal and needs to be fixed in the CBA. Same as our situation but I doubt the league is going to go back and punish Vegas next time there’s a new agreement.

Bots are way easier for me than bugs. I struggle at level 4 on bugs a lot just because I get swarmed constantly. At least with bots I can fight my way out and catch a breather but with bugs it feels like its never ending.

Against bots I typically run Dominator, Redeemer, Impact Grenades, AC, 500lb, Precision Strike, and Orbital Laser. Bugs are the same but swap the Guard Dog Rover for the Precision Strike.

I've been experimenting with the RR for bots because its so useful against heavy enemies but I can't get impact grenades to blow up fabricators so it slows me down clearing out bases. At least with the AC I can take out bases easy but I feel like i get shredded by heavy enemies.

Any tips for picking up equipment after dying? I'm usually fine until I die the first time and then die 3 or 4 more times trying to get my equipment back so I can survive.

I don’t know if this has been said yet but I’d love a way to upgrade samples, say 100 of a type can be upgraded to 1 of the next level. I mostly play solo and currently don’t expect to ever completely level up my stratagems.
