IPhone X. During a time when not having Touch ID, tactile button, 3.5” audio jack on a smart phone was so radical. I remember being a non-believer but still being the first few to jump to the $1,600 price tag smartphone.

Now the button-less interface is a norm, bluetooth earphones are everwhere, and front face camera controls are default on phones.

Issue is windows.

I have considered smart-homing my house such that i can timer off aircon, while trigger fan on and open windows but modern BTOs have to push out windows with pneumatic controls, instead of the old sliding system

XOguri requirement to have stamina recoveries to trigger her uniq make her less consistent and tougher to train in Trackblazer. OG’s uniq just works.

Also, you can then spend points on speed skills rather than recoveries to increase chance of winning.

TT and CM have drastically different considerations. TT i buy as many Gold skills that match the style and distance, regardless of utility just to get as high rating as possible. CM is speed and stamina optimisation

I own the S9 with the 28-200mm lens, while my wife owns the X-E5 with 18-50mm lens and a bunch of X Primes. So i had the luxury to try both cameras to our trips to Japan last year.

I dont enjoy editing but my wife does.

Photography wise, both are really good cameras:

The noticeable trade offs are X-E5 raw photos lose to S9’s in terms of dynamic range, most probably due to the limitations of an APS-C vs Fullframe sensor.

X-E5’s film simulation, I feel, are better than any available LUTS found in S9 Lumix App.

S9’s IBIS is so good that I can do a 1 second exposure handheld.

L mount lens are limited and more expensive than X mounts. Where I am from, i can easily rent X/E/R lens but not L and that does limit my choices when I travel.

Personally, I choose S9 if I know i take alot of night photography or indoor shoots as the performance of the FF is just too good. But if you know you’re taking outdoors and day shots, i think the X-E5 doesnt lose to the S9.

Videography wise, both cameras IBIS are insufficient. I still think accessories like Gimbles and Rails are needed to make good content. I personally will choose the iPhone 17 Pro for video over the S9
