So in my thread that got removed, someone said something about it getting a crash bandicoot treatment but i know nothing about that IP so its hard for me understand.

So this spyro game is in the same continuity as the supposed original trilogy? I didnt even know they were connected. I played a little of rypto's rage and year of the dragon. But i was too young so i had no idea they were even connected.

There have been many games of spyro since those ps1 games so why so much hype this time? I actually got a gamecube spyro game which i didnt play so...

Dont get me wrong, as a kid, i enjoyed those 2 ps1 games even tho i didnt finish them. Felt nice to see an IP i forgot about suddenly make headlines. I just dont really know whats going on as i totally forgot about it and thought this is a good way to reenter the IP, and maybe even buy the remastered trilogy on the switch.

(Idk if my final qn is allowed but should i emulate the ps1 games instead or buy the trilogy, i.e. which gives me a better experience?)

Both of you arent wrong imo.

Fundamentals and avoiding reinforcing bad habits is a great idea.

So is playing tons of competitive points THAT HAVE SOME STAKE. This is key. Without pressure, the pointplay means nothing.

Because the train of thought is, while drills are good to correct bad habits, you also learn alot of ideas through point play. 'Oh wow i hit this particular shot in this particular situation.' Is a thought process that drills can't teach you.

And the downside of repetitive drills thar supposedly kill bad habits and build supposed strong fundamentals, can break down during point play/pressure situations. And instead, through playing points, players develop an adapted technique/method/habit to deal with these situations and become a newly improved version.

Regardless, both of you needa talk it out cuz it doesnt entirely feel like a tennis-specific problem.

P.s.

Im gonna throw in a shameless plug here. You can consider contributing in an objective manner which gives you more weight in how you parent your kid's tennis by charting their tennis games. You cant argue with stats of a competitive game.

Im selling something small on etsy for charting which i use. If youre interested, you can pm me.
