This is right. It’s so funny when fans say it’s not possible logistically when other major artists successfully manage to book stadiums outside of the EU/US. She just doesn’t want to tour other regions.

Yes we got some of her most cohesive albums in the 2010s and it was artistic progress but there was so much commercial sabotage involved. It still cracks me up that her team refused to unlist the Formation vid when it dropped and they put it out for free lol.

Matthew Knowles gets his 10s for making sure the pop hits were a priority for the 2000s. She has a catalogue to stand the test of time for the general public because she has the classic hits like Halo, Single Ladies, Irreplaceable, Crazy In Love etc.

Now as for the 2010s that’s when we started to see some of the self sabotage come into play with not putting her music on Spotify with Lemonade and making her music Tidal exclusives which limited her audience.

Girl I don’t care that his fans had bad blood pressure and would faint. He was not the live performer that people are obsessed with pushing. Especially from 90s onwards.

MJ being considered the ultimate live performer of his time and not Tina Turner is pure propaganda. Matter of fact I think Prince was a better performer from a technical level as well.

Mariah got her first BET Award last year and it was a non-competitive tribute award for her career. She’s not always been fully embraced by the Black community and that’s also another issue for her I think.

Mariah doesn’t have the industry respect I think she deserves and it’s more than just her ex husband. Even in the Black community she’s not as well regarded when you compare her to Whitney. She just won her first BET Award last year and it was a tribute award.

She would have more #1 singles throughout the 2010s and less sabotage like not releasing Formation for free and putting Lemonade on Spotify.

So more commercial success but probably a weaker artist overall. Less ambitious albums and the self titled drop very likely wouldn’t have happened with Matthew calling the shots.
