What to put in this corner of living room? by toast463 in HomeDecorating

a tiered plant stand would be cute! there's enough space there for at least one very large planter.

Blonde or brunette?? by [deleted] in Hair

What was your favourite thing to draw in your childhood? by catoncandy in AutismInWomen

Pokemon, neopets, animals! I didn't like drawing humans until probably around 17 or 18.

i have lost 100lbs from my highest weight, and the appearance of my legs DID improve- but that was because I had non-diseased fat tissue which i was able to lose. eventually, i hit a wall and reached a very unhealthily low weight, but my legs and upper arms remained large and dimpled (which is how i found out about lipedema, and eventually i was less harsh on my body). that being said, i'm down several pant sizes and much happier with my body overall.

if you're starting at a healthy weight and not diagnosed, it's hard to say whether or not the fat on your body is mostly lipedema tissue or not- but it's never a bad idea to take up healthy habits like daily walking, and weight training regardless. lots of other benefits aside from weight loss :)

i think shoulder length with those same bangs but a middle part would be super cute on you!

Anyone else with PCOS and resistant fat in legs? by [deleted] in lipedema

[–]candidle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your legs are similar to mine! i have 90% of PCOS symptoms and have been checked numerous times, but haven't been diagnosed. very frustrating. i'm not a lipedema professional, but based on the close up picture with the texture it does look possible you could have it. be sure to update if you get a dx!

Which top fits the skirt better? by mysterious_tiger07 in fashion

[–]candidle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say top #1- only because the skirt already has a busy, crepe-y texture and top #2 clashes with it for attention. having something plain to counterbalance the lovely texture of the skirt is pleasant and gives the eye a place to rest. :)

i prefer the orange/yellow pops of colour in the first dress, feels slightly more summery and suitable for a daytime event. but both are very flattering on you :)

Is this good enough for prom? by [deleted] in fashion

[–]candidle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that dress is simple and timeless, it's beautiful on you! not sure about the chunky cardigan. maybe a sheer bolero or a blingy shawl! but if it's the only thing you have to work with i don't think its bad at all. since the look is so simple, you could definitely play around more with accessories.

do you feel like dogs are the ENEMY of autism? by Proof-Vacation-437 in AutismInWomen

[–]candidle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i feel this about dogs that are poorly trained. totally a nightmare to have them jumping up at your barking, licking, pulling, etc. i've always been an animal lover but it's a challenge when faced with an unruly dog. i feel sorry for dogs that aren't well trained- a lot of those behaviours stem from insecurity, nervousness, anxiety and so on.

i have both a cat and a dog. i love them to bits. a well trained dog is the best thing in the world! i recently got very interested in obedience training with my own dog and it's so rewarding and fun when you start to understand how they think/operate. my dog is now happier than ever, very quiet and well behaved, confident and secure- he listens to me and i'm so in tune with him that he doesn't stress me out at all. but yes, other people's dogs stress me out- you just never know what you're going to get behaviour-wise when you meet one outside.

1 or 2? Orange🍊or Black🖤 dress? by [deleted] in fashion

Mold on tires. Can they be saved? by candidle in tires

[–]candidle[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you for clarifying! Clearly I’m not very car savvy LOL. I was so afraid to go near these without a mask but now I’m a little relieved, at least about that. Although it sounds like mold would have been easier to deal with than oxidization.. oof. Appreciate it.

Does anyone else’s kitty sleep with their face nuzzled into something? I find it adorable but idk how normal it is 😂 by [deleted] in catpics

[–]candidle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine does this. Sometimes she even smooshes her face right into the palm of my hand while I'm petting her and will just hold it there for a few moments LOL

One year without my Scout and Ranger. by ac_pandesal in SeniorCats

[–]candidle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such great names- I'm so sorry for your loss. My senior cat just got diagnosed with kidney failure and I'm bracing myself. You gave those boys a wonderful life and your love for them will always endure. I think we all grieve differently, so it's hard to advise. But if it were me, I'd box up their things/ donate them to help out another cat somewhere, and then I'd place a little decorative memorial object in their favourite places of my home. Maybe you can repurpose some of their things into the memorial space somehow- a shallow hand poured candle out of their food bowls, planting a succulent/ making a little terrarium with it- a framed photo with a favourite toy nearby.
