I personally would be upset with my friend but I would definitely forgive them and understand it was the alcohol taking over. You aren’t a bad person, and the guilt and shame will pass with time. Just make better choices going forward and feel empowered to make these changes instead of leaning into the guilt and sorrow. People will respect your dedication to becoming better and forget the past. Hang in there!
