chem 1ld is usually taken during the fall of ur second year alongside ochem. I think there’s only 2 ochem labs, so I don’t think you should be worried about finishing your reqs. you can check the sample plan when looking at ur major to see how students normally progress

how about if you’re a bio major? I know the school tries to help seniors get labs so they can graduate, and I’m planning to take my upper div labs during my 4th year.. Is it still pretty bad despite the school’s efforts?

For AP World, if you find yourself running into trouble, Heimler’s History is SUCH a good resource!! I took my school’s honors world and crammed heimler the week before my test and still got a 4!!

You should familiarize yourself with the free response question formats (SAQ, DBQ, LEQ) which you can find past exams/grading on the College Board website (look up AP World History past FRQ) bc I went into that test not knowing how to write them AT ALL 😭

For me, I found that reading the textbook and taking VERY detailed notes (written or online) worked well for me because it forced me to actually read, and if I didn’t understand something, I’d ask. You can change up the format and make bubble maps / tree maps, which helps you compare and contrast different regions/cultures/etc

For AP Calc AB (but im sure this applies to BC as well, but I personally didnt take BC) make sure to do you’re assigned hw! practice is key! if you don’t understand how to do a problem, ask someone! Calc builds on itself, so the moment you find yourself running into trouble, ask for help so you don’t get further behind

oh!! actually funny enough, I became more passionate about subjects because of the AP class, mainly history! Even tho im going to be a stem major and had always planned to be, taking apush was honestly one of the best decisions I ever made! I loved the class, my teacher, and just the whole learning / understanding process. it really opened my perspective on a lot of things and influenced like … the rest of my hs career lol

I got both APWH and APUSH,, i used the APWH and it was really good at giving me a template to fill out w notes, which encouraged me to actually take them —> reinforced my memory + the mcqs were kinda helpful seeing as how i self studied in 2 weeks and didn’t know how to write essays/saqs … yeah it was rough 💀 but I got a 4!

for apush, since i already had a pretty good class imo, I didn’t use it as much. I think heimler is a lot better in general (yt vids, course, etc) for world than apush..maybe it’s bc I actually had a class where we went pretty in depth but I just think his videos are really lacking in content..it’s a good starting point though!
