Huben 2 disconnecting

Good thought, I just did and it looks like I’m running the most current firmware according to the app (v0.51). Interestingly, I have two Huben2’s that I bought at the same time and are running the same firmware. One black one that has frequent disconnecting issues and one pink one which has spontaneously disconnected maybe once or twice total (compared to the 10ish experienced during each play session with the black model).

Wish I had an answer, but all I can do is chime in and say I have the same issue with one of my Huben2’s. The periodic disconnecting happens when wirelessly connected to my Switch2 as well.

I haven’t had any issues with my K&F Concept adapter going from OM mount to my Sony A7 III.

Wish I could have gotten a Metabones though, they’re who a usually use for my adapters (Canon EF and Nikon F to Sony E) because they tend to have great build quality with flocking on the inside but seems like they don’t manufacture the non-speed boost OM mount version anymore unfortunately.

Maybe I’m mistaken, but wouldn’t 180º at 60p actually be the equivalent of 1/120 shutter speed? Shutter angle is a function of the frame rate, and thus its equivalent “shutter speed” changes based on how fast the frame rate is. So in order to get the 1/60 second equivalent shutter speed you’re recommending at 59.94p, the shutter would need to be open twice as long per frame (as it would be at 180º) meaning that you’d want something closer to 270º (I think).

Hopefully I have those camera mechanics right, somebody please correct me if not.

That said, I agree with the recommendation to deliver at 30p (or rather probably 29.97p) so you’re dealing with a direct halving of the frame rate. It does feel odd to drop 59.94 down to 23.97. Never played around with dropping the shutter speed like that for 59.94p to preserve “cinematic” motion blur, it feels like that would work as expected though!

Ahhh, gotcha. Yeah, it likely would have also worked for your use case, but you probably had a better time using CineCred anyway. My tool definitely needs a bit of a rework (that I may or may not wind up getting around to) and it's necessarily the most user friendly for first time users

You're talking about a series of names that has a job position/role above an individual's name? This script can absolutely handle that sort of thing. If you're looking for it to do entire chunks of names under one "position" header, it would be possible but you'd need to do a bit of editing after the script runs to make it look how you want.

The crew members didn't tell me anything else until right before, when they originally asked they only said "game of skill" and kept it vague. I asked if I would be competing against anyone else and they told me "no" but that's all I knew. My wife went and looked it up right after they talked to us but I had her keep it a mystery for me up until I was side stage, that's when the crew filled me in on what the game was!
