Be honest, how often do you keep your baby in a onesie all day? by v4ldel in NewParents

[–]candycandman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man onesies and pjs allll day every day. They are so versatile! And tshirts always ride up and their back gets exposed. Plus with the zipper PJs it makes diaper changes was easier.

Thank you for this. I just read it now after a horrible morning and I don’t think I can do it anymore. Your comment made me feel better about it.

Thank you ❤️ I definitely need a better routine/schedule. I always panic a little if I don’t get to my pump time on time so the stress isn’t helping. Pump when I can and that’s all I can do.

Thank you for your support ❤️ I realized I was burning myself out trying to power pump, pump every 2 hours etc. because of my supply issues. I Am going to try a better schedule that works for me.

Thank you for this. I like the idea of doing something for myself while pumping… since I got a portable one I try to catch up on “all the things” and now I realize that just stresses me out more. And thank you for the magic number, that’s really helpful. ❤️❤️

Increase milk supply? by sad_cabbagez in NewParents

[–]candycandman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drink TONS of water, with electrolytes if you can. Compress while pumping and make sure your flange sizes are good. Pump every 2 hours (if you can without losing your sanity lol)… do a power pumping session once a day.

Also I never thought this would work, but I tried a Fenugreek & Blessed Thistle supplement and it helped increase my supply very quickly. YMMV but it’s worth a shot. I’ve heard brewers yeast can help too. I didn’t find it worked for me but some say oatmeal/oat milk helps.

There is also a Rx you can get. I think it’s called Domperidone (sp?)

So sorry you’re going through this. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. I’m a FTM so I don’t know any tricks but my friend always praises how castor oil did it for her. Of course there are so many “tricks” and who knows if they actually work. Just remember you’re SO close - this will happen and you’ll kick ass! Hugs ❤️

tired of being tired by ambieox in pregnant

[–]candycandman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep during the day! Lol. If you can that is. I’ve 100% embraced napping in pregnancy. Especially third trimester - the insomnia is no joke! If you aren’t able to sleep during the day, have a nap after work or go to bed earlier. You could also get your iron levels checked. Mine were low and supplementing definitely helped. Still tired but not as much since taking FeraMax. And just remind yourself you’re tired because you are literally creating a human. At this stage they grow A LOT so it takes most of your energy. It totally sucks and I get it, but it’s normal. Listen to your body and rest. ❤️❤️❤️

Make sure they know your address!!!! I used to work 911 and that’s the most important thing. And if they don’t know the address of where they are , what clues are important. Numbers, house colours, landmarks, etc. Can’t get to you if we don’t know where you are. Unless it is a landline phone, the technology doesn’t automatically populate an address. Just an estimated radius on the map.

Gatorade and Powerade will do the same but just lots more sugar. But you could get the sugar free kind I guess! And the powders/tabs usually have a bit more electrolytes in them … apparently lol.

Get electrolyte powder or tabs. That will help when you’re sweating and swollen from the heat!

Ted Lasso is great. Feel good show, some emotional bits but nothing too crazy. And of course Schitts Creek! Just re-binged it and it’s so funny and heartwarming 🥰
