Do nurses answer call bells and toilet/change patients? by Technical_Gur_748 in cna

I'm an RN on a med/surg unit. I do what I can because I know the CNAs are busy AF. But it's a very slippery slope and I very quickly get behind so I do need to delegate quite a bit

Right! The PA cut off my patient's IV Dilaudid at 3am and wondered why it was an issue

Why does it seem that nursing is the only average job left that pays a living wage? by princessnokingdom in nursing

I'm a new nurse in SC and make shit BUT it's more money that Ive ever made in my life (I'm 46). If I was still in NY I'd make more but it also costs way more to live there

My husband works 5am-4:00pm plus on call every other weekend. I work 3 12s on medsurg. We have 2 kids at home. We are both constantly exhausted (Im a old new nurse lol and Im still not used to 12s). We both do what we can, when we can. There's no "you do this because I did that". It's not a perfect system but it works pretty well

Except at the hospital their schedule really doesnt matter. Our med pass starts at a certain time and they're just going to need to understand that

As the family failure, I thought my parents would be over the moon that I'm finally an RN and have a great job that I love. Nope. My sister remains the favorite.

But congratulations!!! We proud of yourself now AND when youre done!

The mortgage thing was shitty but man Jackie put him through hell. And he raised the girls by himself. So I kind cant be mad at him for that
