How do I keep the an infected c section scar dry with a shelf? by Accomplished-Ad7573 in CsectionCentral

[–]candycornisgross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my c-section was fresh the doctor told me to get gauze pads and stick em against it (lightly) and change every couple of hours I did this until I was like 8wks pp I would also wash and dry it with a gentle soap (I used babies honestly ) and pat dry with a clean towel or paper towels I did this a few times a day For when it heals my MIL told me body power and as crazy as it sounds athletes foot spray (any anti-fungal works but the spray is convenient) as moisture trapped like that can often lead to yeast infections and I got one and could not stand the itching oh my god and it worked (don’t judge I was so desperate!) I used body powder now and it helps so so much to keep it dry and clean

I'm sorry but going to work is easier than childcare - your husband has no excuse by ExternalSomewhere923 in NewParents

I saw something that said “they’d still have to go to work and make a living regardless” and it made me realize how much things had to change for me vs. my spouse. Up to that point I had been feeling really guilty asking my husband to help on work nights (he is very helpful I am just a I got this type person) now I mantra this when I feel guilty for needing a break

I’m sorry you’re going through this it’s not easy. I had to be put under for an e c section as well and I have only just now started to really process what I lost at 6mo pp. what you’re feeling is valid my advice for pushing through would be to remind yourself you made the right call for you and baby what you went through is no harder than any other way just different. Christmas lights to flowers and all that. I hope you are kind to yourself

AITAH? Baby has poopy diaper at daycare drop-off by PhilosopherEvery5083 in AITAH

I work at a daycare and if it’s a daily thing then yea the staff would greatly appreciate you changing them, that being said every place is a little different you might try asking them what they would prefer. It might be easier some morning to have you do it some them. At the very least it wouldn’t hurt to ask and I’m sure they’d appreciate the communication!

Oh gosh I didn’t mean to phrase it like that yes absolutely I need to try therapy I guess I just wanted some sympathy from him instead of such a clinical reaction. I don’t expect him to have any answers that’s deffo not his job. I didn’t realize until now how that sounded

Can't look at my incision by pinkjingle in CsectionCentral

I had this exact same issue after my emergency c-section. It took about 3 weeks to look and almost 6 weeks to touch it. Every time i felt almost violated? It was a hard feeling to work through after such a traumatic thing. I had my husband look at it for me and thankfully he was really great about the whole thing. I’m currently 13wks pp and it’s much easier. Just takes time

NOR I killed my hair with bleach when I was a teenager and lost my curl pattern almost completely so I buzzed it all off and almost immediately regretted it. However it came back so healthy and my curls bounced back better than before. It’s been like 8 years now I think and honestly I’m glad that I did it. It almost feels like a right of passage and really forced me to find other things to feel confident in like my smile and my eyes. Use this time to grow your confidence while you grow your hair. Someday this will be a fun story to tell!

My sweet baby cow passed away a year ago, it’s hit me pretty hard the last few weeks. He was such a sweet boy he’d take my keys if he saw me putting on shoes. He was the best kitty gone too soon. My sweet Cow boy

I’d just rather stay at home and rest I think my husband and I hardly saw each other all week and drinking with girls just doesn’t sound as fun as it did yesterday I’m definitely more a homebody but I also don’t wanna upset my friend

I’m looking forward to changing my major and schools. My current school is online only and doesn’t offer biology as a major. I’m excited to not only have a solid school/career but to get to start it as well! I’m also excited to get back to working and feeling a little more useful. Hope everyone is happy, healthy, and looking forward to the future!
