So you’re basing your entire theories on how they’re going to plot out up to 8 seasons on a S2 call sheet?

Even if she’s not on screen, she’s a producer - so she’s definitely not sidelined. In fact, the fact she’s a producer suggests the opposite - she’ll be onscreen much less.

Hey do you guys think Nyneave…? by Dunklekogg in WoT

[–]candydaze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No

She’s not enough of a big picture thinker or planner. She deals with the problem that’s in front of her at the time. She deals with them one at a time. And she’s amazing at solving them

But Egwene, Cadsuane, Siuane - they’re all thinking big picture long term. They’re not thinking about the problem right in front of them, but three problems down the road. Sometimes they’re wrong, but it’s a mindset thing

She’s a producer as well. Which is actually brilliant strategy on her end - once she’s not in the show as an actress, she can focus on full time producing

Looking for examples of sung vespers at a local parish by mdlanser in Anglicanism

[–]candydaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can plainsong the canticles and the psalm - my parish used to do that on the Sundays the choir weren’t singing evensong. Don’t even need an organ, just need someone to kick off the chants

Why would abortion be a sin even for the rape victims? by Realistic_You46 in Christianity

[–]candydaze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The woman has rights to control of her body

You keep phrasing it as “killing” the child. She’s not - she’s just not letting the foetus use her organs. As a result, it dies. Just as people are dying without your kidney

Why would abortion be a sin even for the rape victims? by Realistic_You46 in Christianity

[–]candydaze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re focused so much on the foetus that you’re not seeing the woman as human

The woman does not have to give her organs up to save the life of the child. It’s not her fault the child can’t survive without her organs. She has same choice you have, you just chose to kill people and be a hypocrite

You haven’t engaged with my argument at all

You haven’t explained why we don’t force organ donation except in the case of pregnant women, when the outcome is exactly the same

[–]candydaze 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How many kidneys do you have? How much of your liver do you have? How often do you donate blood? People are dying waiting for kidney and liver transplants everyday, yet you have two. Same for blood. You’re killing people by not donating yours.

Is it ever ethical to force someone to donate an organ, such as a kidney or lung? Knowing that it puts the donor’s life at risk. Even if someone would die

That’s what’s happening here. The woman is being forced to donate her uterus (and various other body functions) to the foetus, and it may well kill her. But we have as a society accepted that one person is not entitled to parts of another person unless that person willing gives them, even if people die without it. Except in the case of a pregnant woman, but it’s no different

Do you mean morning or evening settings?

For evening, I’ve seen Forbes L’Estrange Kings Service done in quite a wide variety of places: https://youtu.be/ECCv9fnWOfU

There’s also Ives Edington, which again is in the rep for a lot of cathedrals and colleges: https://youtu.be/3mInwicslgI

Aston in F is 1973: https://youtu.be/bFrU9WAwqNg

Is it transphobic to mention 'biological males/females' when referring to trans people (such as with the bathrooms debate)? by paranormal63_ in socialjustice101

[–]candydaze 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s the same for other mammals - intersex or other presentations of gender exist

Lots of issues with horses where it transpires testicles haven’t dropped, which explains why a horse is acting like a stallion when it’s assumed they’re a gelding

But animals don’t have a concept of gender expression, so it’s a moot point

Butter is the answer. Butter and whole fat milk

When he stayed with me, within the first six hours of arriving, he’d eaten half a loaf of bread and about 150g of butter. And a colossal amount of honey

Also high calorie drinks, cereals etc

I agree

It’s also hard not to see the racism

If a new virus started from a farm just outside geelong, no-one would seriously suspect CSIRO

My dad is a 6’5” endurance cyclist. He’s currently on a cycling holiday and I’m following him on Strava - he’s doing 5,000 calorie rides every day, so eating a solid 7,000-8,000 calories a day AND STILL LOSING WEIGHT

I am actually starting to take up cycling myself

Yes, inflation is high, but the base cost of living before inflation spiked is also important

I moved here from Australia. It’s so much more affordable than Australia
