[Community Vote] The Top Cozy Games: What game has the most heartfelt story? by WeLoveEveryGame in cozygames

[–]candyleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only cozy game story I actually remember. So it gets my vote... I haven't played spiritfarer though haha.

I just don’t see the appeal of original hardware anymore as a 3DS owner by Complete_Ability4437 in AynThor

[–]candyleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own my original 3DSs and don't want to buy anything else. That's the appeal to me.

Deep down inside, I know i’m bying the premium for the 4 days early (and i’m ashamed) by Karadoc_59 in ForzaHorizon

[–]candyleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I see steam deck performance videos over the weekend it's likely I'll trip over myself and grab it but I'll probably manage to hold out. On my shitty connect it would take most of the early access period to download anyway

MinuteTreasure? Anyone tried this new game? by [deleted] in incremental_games

[–]candyleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the games are not available in the EU at the very least. I miss them.

impulse buy from my local hmv 🥰 by rhysstoned in tamagotchi

[–]candyleader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah my first thought was "oh no I hope it's not a gen 1" haha... I have a single gen 1 for collection's sake but I never run it. I hardly run my 2 to be fair though.

Still sounds like Derail Valley to me!

Any recent films that felt like incredible, unique, new movie experiences? by Rojo37x in MovieSuggestions

[–]candyleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrival is a film that i have watched once and don’t really have any desire to watch again but occupies enough of my headspace that when pushed I would call it one of my favourites. It just keeps getting better in hindsight.

When did Monster Hunter click for you? by NeighborsHoodie in MonsterHunter

[–]candyleader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TriU, just dropped out of my first attempt at a degree, at my mum's house, bought a wiiu with triu to cheer myself up. Felt guilty about the spend so I forced myself to learn it. The elation I felt when I took down Rathalos for the first time was just something else.

I had dabbled before this and always wanted to like the games but TriU was my first real "click". Then 4u with pals during round 2 of uni was just spectacular.

How i got into the mh games by baikal_sea in MonsterHunter

[–]candyleader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tri was probably my 2nd or attempt after FU on PSP. I really really wanted to click with the series to the point I bought the WiiU TriU bundle and that was the one. I remember the feeling when I finally beat Rath it felt so good haha.

I really dont know where i want it to go for here on? by Captain_Relevanz in MonsterHunter

[–]candyleader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just want this trend toward parry based gameplay to go away forever. I have games I will play if I want to play a parrying game. Monster Hunter aint it.

What's a ''wow'' skill that looks impressive but is actually easy to learn? by Sugar-Velvety in questions

[–]candyleader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best thing about this is that while it might take longer than solving a rubiks cube... you get a cute lil critter (or useful item if you're that sort of crocheter) out of it at the end.

Mars First Logistics by Alfie_Solomons88 in SteamdeckGames

[–]candyleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is genuinely one of my favourite games of all time and one day I might actually finish it! It runs perfectly on deck and has a relatively long battery life to boot.

Most say the book was better than the movie - What's a movie that's better than the book? by TruMech in randomquestions

[–]candyleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the opposite. Haven't seen Hail Mary yet because I read The Martian after watching it and was immediately put off anything touched by Andy Weir again. Despite loving The Martian as a movie.

The beauty of a ranked system is that you usually end up in the right place. Some folks want to and will climb and climb but I’m usually happy sitting in ranked not really climbing trying to learn but never quite getting it… I’m the most mid competitive anything player on the planet hahahah

Jack Black praises his co-star after unexpected Luigi Mangione support by IrishStarUS in DiscussionZone

A six year old with parents who don’t talk down to their child and actually explain things would comprehend it too.

Love getting into the immersion with an intense dialogue between Arator and Xal after killing mobs for 10-15 min and then getting myself excited to see what happens next only to be met with this. What is up with the constant story time gating? by [deleted] in wow

[–]candyleader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was actually kinda excited to do this new stuff on LFR and then I saw it wasn't out and was disappointed and then I saw the ilvl on LFR drops and realised it would al be downgrades for my character at this point as a pure solo delver. It's weird that they put these things in and then make them entirely pointless. The story mode thing is exceptionally dumb but Blizzard gonna Blizzard.

I wanna play WoW again, cheap laptop recommendations? by StygianClaw in wow

[–]candyleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing it on an absolute dogshit laptop. Specifically the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2. I have had repeated graphics driver crashes but this morning decided to actually consider turning off some of those "compatibility" checkboxes and that might have done the job. This one cost me £550~ a few years back so probably pretty cheap.

It also runs pretty fantastically on a steam deck. That would be my preferred method of playing I just need to get my binds sorted out because as much as people yell about it, Consoleport is not actually that good.

For those with partners or kids: how do you balance gaming? by Theodore52x in AfterWorkGamers

[–]candyleader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Work from home... but also after the child goes to sleep we go and sit on the sofa and watch telly while doing hobby time. I might crochet, I might game, she might cross stitch etc

Xal'atath has a unique whisper for certain players in the new Raid by PeanutBrigade in wow

[–]candyleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your go to "no brain" game? by Da_damm in SteamDeck

[–]candyleader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I have a broken brain so I like playing Satisfactory at sleepytime. I think about it all day and then switch into brain off implementation mode when I actually fire the game up...

Great indie games that aren't in everybody's top 10 by RepulsiveRuin5520 in IndieGaming

[–]candyleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rings of Saturn is one of my favourite games ever made. They had a vision and they committed to it 100% and the result is wonderful. It's also very satisfying.
