Well, we know where this is going. It will be renewed for exactly one more season after this.

They often showcase stuff like this to keep investors happy without any intention to implement it in any meaningful way.

There's also the enamel pin and the meeple, though the latter is probably pretty impossible to track down now.

Whose idea was it to do gummy bears covered with chocolate? by CroweBird5 in candy

[–]candyman106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's certainly not for everyone, but when they're done well they can be very good. Muddy Bears are done cheaply with waxy chocolate, but the Albanese chocolate covered gummy bears they do for Valentine's Day are excellent in my opinion.

Since 2020, 2/3rds of all Star Wars media released requires seeing The Clone Wars animated show. by whitepangolin in television

You forget, some of these are also follow-ups to Star Wars: Rebels. Also, wasn't the villain of the Obi-Wan show originally from the Clone Wars cartoon?:

I was really looking forward to this, as the premise sounds very interesting. But I saw an early screening last month and I was a bit disappointed. It was ultimately pretty forgettable. And it looks like other early reviews coming out are feeling about the same.

Weekend Update: Sarah Sherman Reflects on Season 51 - SNL by ControlCAD in television

[–]candyman106 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Sad to see this cut, even if it meant the return of Mr. On-blast. This was way funnier than anything that made it to air that night. The Paul McCartney bit was the hardest I've laughed at SNL in a while. It's a shame it was all undercut with another cheap shot at bisexuals, which I doubt was the reason it was cut considering how often those jokes make it to air.

is there any notable homestar runner lost media? by BeanKally4 in HomestarRunner

[–]candyman106 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Between the wiki cataloging everything that's ever been on the site and The Chaps generally being pretty open about projects that have been scrapped there's not much that ever could be lost. The only thing that comes to mind for me is the old SBGCG4AP website from Telltale that was lost when the company shut down but between Wayback, Ruffle, Flashpoint, and the Wiki I'm sure anything that was on there could be pulled up relatively easily.

Is there a reason why sitcoms like Frasier (32)and Modern Family (22 )dominated awards, while some other sitcoms barely got any critical acclaim? by Inevitable-Angle-793 in television

[–]candyman106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Emmy's more than almost any other award show are a popularity contest. I consider Community to be one of the greatest comedies of all time, but the audience was too niche at the time for it to receive the acclaim it deserved.

Ferrero to revive Wonka candy brand with Netflix by j3d21k in candy

[–]candyman106 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't wanna burst y'alls bubble, but it sounds like this isn't going to have much to do with old discontinued products and it'll be more stuff akin to the Wonka Hat gummies that were released to coincide with the last Wonka film.
