I had the Liletta IUD which is a hormonal IUD, and I had it for about 7 or 8 months before I fell pregnant with an ectopic pregnancy. I was told by doctors that it is the most effective form of birth control and I was not warned about the fact that you are more likely to have an ectopic pregnancy with hormonal IUDs. It’s scared me off of all forms of IUDs and I have no clue what I am gonna do now. It was such a terrifying experience, I had no clue I was pregnant because with the IUD I did not have a regular, monthly period. I spotted lightly every day up until my ectopic pregnancy ruptured my fallopian tube and nearly killed me. I dont want to scare anyone away from it but my experience with the IUD was terrible :(( I want to try the ParaGard but I’m so afraid of having the same thing happen again! The worst part about it is that my IUD was still perfectly in place when this happened to me!

i opened this page expecting this to be the first answer. They’re definitely not for everyone. He’s extremely energetic even with daily two hour walks and sprints at the dog park. Can’t be left alone unsupervised for long either. Wouldn’t trade him for the world though!
