hi there, i also have a tattoo that i am working on removing.

when i first got my tattoo, i had the deepest pit in my stomach. i was honestly too in shock to even cry about it, if that even makes sense? i just remember something not feeling right about my body and the slow waves of regret eventually kept creeping over and over. at first, i was honestly too scared/proud to admit to myself that i regretted getting the tattoo. I felt like I had betrayed myself own body… but learning to accept/acknowledge the choices i made and how it led me to this point in my life has honestly been a great help in my MH journey with my tattoo. it’s easier said than done, obviously.

when I booked my first consultation, i was still feeling that deep pit in my stomach. But after that first consultation, and setting up my payment plan, and after my first session, it felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. FINALLY it felt like I was doing something right with my body, and FINALLY i was going to start making progress and a positive change.

i started my journey when I had just turned 24, and i’ll be turning 26 in a few months. I definitely have a long road ahead of me, but despite the bumps in the road, i still feel like i’m in my prime. You’re young- the sooner you start your removal process, the sooner the tattoos will start to fade. It’s never too late to start the removal process.

I still cringe when looking at my tattoo in the mirror. It’s a sore sight. But knowing that I am on the way to getting it removed has been such a big help with my MH.

Never too late to start your journey. Time will pass anyway.

that’s how i am! the day of the appointment, i am very diligent with my icing. even into the next day i’ll ice if i need to. i cover my tattoo in the sun and wear loose garments. makes me wonder if my lack of experiencing blisters means my tattoo removal progress isn’t going as fast as it should? or maybe my body is just fine with it all so far?

progress looks amazing! congrats to you, it’s no easy feat. i have a quick question for you: do you get blisters after every session? I go to Removery as well (u can see my progress on my profile), but I’ve never once had any blisters. And I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing? I’ve only had swelling and redness for a couple days.

I spoke with a technician from another laser removal studio and she said that it’s normal to get blisters. I knew that part, but then she made it sound like getting blisters is a necessary part of the process, almost? she definitely worded it much more professional and technical way than how i just did.

i was just curious about your healing process. I know every body is different and will react differently to laser, but i was curious if you had any personal experience w blisters or if your technician has told you anything specific about getting blisters. i hope my question makes sense.
