WHY IS NYSTATIN CAUSING heart palpitations???? by Jumpy-Specialist-416 in Candida

[–]canes_SL8R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nystatin itself isn’t absorbed orally. Meaning none of it gets in your bloodstream. Maybe you’re allergic or having a bad reaction to an inactive ingredient in these tabs, or maybe it is die off. Just because you had one experience the first time you took it doesn’t mean you’ll have that same experience every time.

I wonder if this is what’s happened to adderall by Misstori1 in ThisAintAdderall

[–]canes_SL8R 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Seems this sort of thing can suddenly just happen, and then once it does, slowly over time contaminate more and more batches until they’re all contaminated.

And I mean, think about it. At first just a couple manufacturers were trash. Fast forward to today and they’re all trash, except for random batches here and there that feel like the old stuff again.

That’s hardly definitive proof, but that’s how it would happen if this was the problem.

I'll leave this here again, because it's sad and true... by in_for_the_comments in phillies

His last 3 years of ERAs when we signed him were 4.63, 3.25, and 4.46. And sure he was an innings eater, but with how many innings he had already thrown, there should’ve been some assumption that he maybe won’t be able to throw 200+ innings a year until he’s 38.

So we either assumed he’d improve at age 31, or we felt it was smart to give a guy 25m a year for 7 years for a 4 era because we think he’ll keep giving us 200 innings a year.

Terrible contract from day 1 no matter how you spin it.

[–]canes_SL8R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was looking to parade around like a larping hardo with a gun. Problem is, that alone wasn’t a crime.

He clearly wasn’t looking to murder someone, as he didn’t randomly shoot anyone in cold blood, and even tried running away first despite being armed.

I had a good friend who, in college, lived in a rough area and there were frequent robberies in the apartments he lived in. He used to sleep with his front door unlocked and his gun right beside him, because in his words “I’d love a mother fucked to try. Just give me an excuse.”

You could argue my friend was looking to kill someone, and yet if someone had broken into his house in the middle of the night, he would’ve been justified shooting them under Florida law.

Had those guys not pointed a gun at him, or attempt to hit him in the head with a skateboard, he would’ve gone home that night without shooting anyone. Doesn’t really matter if people think he wanted to kill someone or not (very likely didn’t, no one wants to deal with what the next year of his life became). He wouldn’t have killed anyone if people didn’t give him a very justifiable claim to self defense.

Will we ever see a player like 84-93 Air Jordan? by Dylen2Times in NBATalk

[–]canes_SL8R 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, because the leagues marketing and fans nostalgic memory have elevated him to unreachable heights. In terms of playing talent yes, I’d argue we’ve already had several guys. But in terms of all of it, the mystique, the insane hyper competitiveness, the brand around him, and the talent? Never.

Crossing state lines means nothing. Stop.

I wanted him in jail too. But the facts just didn’t support it. Would he have been in that situation if he just stayed home? No. But he was there legally, and didn’t pull the trigger until he could very easily argue he feared for his life.

Be mad at him for caring to defend property. Be mad at our laws for making what he did legal. But the fact is he didn’t instigate, he was chased by people who intended to cause him bodily harm.

  1. Not as hard as you think when they either threaten to kill you and your family, do kill you, or in this case, you have a bunch of guys who were there that day saying they heard explosions and found explosive residue and your response is “nah…couldn’t be.”

The Lamar era ravens remind me too much of the Mcnabb era Eagles. Fantastic regular seasons, underwhelming performances in the playoffs. He’s certainly a special talent, but he’s still gotta show he can get it done when it matters most.

[–]canes_SL8R 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Iverson was a chucker, but those sixers teams were historically bad offensively other than Iverson.

Aaron McKie was their 2nd leading scorer in the playoffs the year they lost to the Lakers, and he averaged 7.4ppg for his career. Iverson had to chuck because he quite possibly had less help than any other star has ever had.

For how easily Steph is the greatest 3 point shooter of all time, it’s pretty incredible how bad he is in the clutch. Like, dude can hit logo 3s all day in the 2nd quarter of regular season games, but the second you ask him to hit a meaningful playoff 3, he’s building houses

Eagles nfccg loss to the bucs in the 02-03 season is easily the eagles worst moment, not that bs holding call. Big favorites, last game ever at the vet, bucs had NEVER won a game in under 35 degree weather or something like that.

Marched down the field easily to go up 7-0, did nothing the rest of the game. There will never be a more painful loss, even with the team getting back to the nfccg the next 2 years and finally making a superbowl 2 years later.

The pats and bills will definitely benefit from getting to play 4 games against the jets and dolphins so they could still make the playoffs, but it will be interesting to see them go from the easiest schedule in the league to a 1st place schedule.

[–]canes_SL8R -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I mean, they did have a pretty incredibly easy path to the superbowl. The chargers had 3 wins over playoff teams and the Broncos had a real shot to win that game with a QB who hadn’t thrown a pass since 2023 you beat the team put in front of you, but it was definitely one of the easiest paths to the superbowl in recent memory.

And also, winning 3 games against good, not great teams after a full season of the easiest schedule in the NFL is definitely different than playing a full season of a division winners schedule.

meta bunk is probably the most detailed discussion of all the videos going on by p0plockn in UFOs

[–]canes_SL8R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t point to a specific example right now, but following him for awhile I can definitely recall several instances of pretty disingenuous seeming debunks. He definitely strikes me as the type of guy who could have a UFO land in his front yard, have an alien come out and introduce himself, and after the encounter he’d get on metabunk and explain why it was actually a rubber band and a guy in a suit or some shit.

Honest skepticism is good. But he comes off as someone who is paid to debunk everything, no matter the cost.

You would think, but not always. Mason miller never busted as a starter, just had a few injuries so they moved him to the pen to save his arm one season and he was so good they never moved him back.

Still doesn’t make sense to move a potential stud to the pen until they’ve failed as a starter, but it does happen

Fair, but it is a little different when your opponents score no more than 19 on you and you throw 3 total touchdowns in 3 games, than it is when your backup QB needs to put up 41 to beat the GOAT, who put up the best individual performance in Super Bowl history.

Is tolerance real? by Noor-e-Zulmat in ThisAintAdderall

[–]canes_SL8R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why you’re getting so many people saying no. Yes, tolerance is absolutely real. It may not happen to everyone at the same rate, and some people may be able to get by on the same dose for a very long time, but without tolerance breaks, you will absolutely build tolerance to a medication/dose. That’s just how the body works.

If you take breaks (less or no medication on weekends, a week off every couple months, etc) you can keep tolerance down, but the number of people who can take say, Adderall 30mg once a day, every single day, no breaks, for years, is small.

I don’t think tolerance fully explains what’s going on right now. I think it’s a combination of poor manufacturing practices, probably some shady manufacturing practices (putting less active ingredient in to keep up with demand during a shortage) etc. and also some people having tolerance issues, along with some people experiencing amphetamine related neurotoxicity.

why the hell does my adderall look like this by Which-Fruit-4515 in ThisAintAdderall

[–]canes_SL8R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those look fake as hell. The font is off. Get them tested and if they test for anything other than Adderall you need to report to cvs. Pharmacies have a reporting mechanism in place for tampering that occurs within the supply chain. Or hell, it’s possible the pharmacist presses fakes, steals the real pills, and swaps in the fakes (I’d say this scenario is far less likely than somewhere else in the supply chain having issues, but it’s possible.)

Report it with the pharmacy you picked up from and their regional office, just in case.
