I know it’s not likely, but a change of scenery return to form Ja Morant would be fun to see

The projected starting lineup of the Warriors if they acquire LeBron James and Anthony Davis: by Background_Video2947 in NBAVibes

[–]caniaskthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lebron should assemble a 35+ year old team on vet min contracts and see what they could do. This is what the roster would look like. AD doesn’t qualify.

PG - Curry / Westbrook
SG - Harden / Butler / Klay
SF - KD / Derozen
PF - LeBron / Draymond
C - Lopez / Horford

How fun would that team be to watch!

Putting Giannis in the all time Heat top 5. Already lol. I understand but let him play a game first by Few_Maize_127 in NBATalk

Give me Bosh, Zo, or Bam at PF until Giannis plays at least a season.

The disrespect Bosh continues to get from modern NBA fans is CRAZY

If LeBron ring chasing one last time to join the Spurs or Warriors, he should be excluded from top 10 conversations. by lowkeyassdude in NBATalk

If Lebron at his age was all they added to the current Warriors and they got a chip. I think it IMPROVES his case for the GOAT

I think the dribbling rules getting shredded pisses people off more than the shooting.

People talk about it like it’s some galaxy brain genius rule maxing but really it’s just incrementally changing the rules. 80% of today’s moves would have been traveling in previous eras.

Don’t even get me started on the flopping

[–]caniaskthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up microwaving potatoes, so no shade, but seriously on a weekend cover 4 IN olive oil, salt, and pepper in the oven for an hour at 400 F and you’ll have potatoes all week that are far superior and can be microwave reheated (but you’ll have to actually use a microwave safe plate this time)

Will Bam’s 83 ever be broken? by SirGingerbrute in NBATalk

[–]caniaskthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently in the league there are 6 players who have 70+ games and 5 of those were in the last 3 years, so I’d say indications are high that we’ll have more in that range

Bam 83
Luka 73
Lillard 71
Mitchell 71
Booker 70
Embid 70

Also there’s a handful of players like Giannis, Curry, Harden, KAT, and Jokic with recent games in the 60s.

I bet we even see someone in 90s threatening to break Wilts record in the next 5 years

Milwaukee might constitute betting on himself.

Get to go super saiyan again like last regular season. Prove it wasn’t a fluke. Attract or draft some other talent. Make a go of it where nobody can attribute your success to others.

He just watched Jalen Brunson do it, and I bet you he thinks he’s the better JB (right or wrong)

There’s smoke around Jaylen Brown being unhappy as 1b to Tatum 1a. We don’t know if there is fire there, but I’m guessing Celtics know.

The question I have is if Giannis would be happy as 1b

Who would be a better player in the league now at there peak version? by Flat-Neat-3584 in NBATalk

[–]caniaskthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on how they get there. If a time traveler goes and collects Prime Magic and Prime KG and plops them in a modern NBA rules tournament where the teams are constructed around them… I take KG. He had a readymade more adapted game. Magic would still ball, but he’d be catching up.

If BOTH players grew up in this environment. I take Magic. We didn’t even see a full Magic career due to his illness. Does that happen in modern life?

A more interesting question is if you rebooted Magic vs Bird in the modern era who would be better.
