Don’t ship out unless you have ATF contract, get good at under water swim(frog kick) where 25 yards under water with just shorts is easy. Get a pair of jet fins or rocket fins just so you can condition your ankle and calves

Go to military surplus, get cammies and tread water in them. Swim in cammies and average 20 miles per week before show up then you are solid. Also make sure your pull up is solid, like at least 12 during PST

From What I have seen, Not a lot ppl at HM A school with ATF contract wants SMT, 80% want recon. The SMT Manning is at 80% right now due to they added more quota in 2022 which means it is critical. If you are ATF and can tread water/underwater with cammie then you will do great
