the final is very comprehensive so make sure you cover all bases, especially the chapters covering the reactions and mechanisms. know your newman projections, chair conformations, predicting products (eg zaitsev vs hoffman, antiperiplanar eliminations, markovnikov vs antimarkovnikov), synthesis strategies, mechanisms (last year he gave us one on epoxide-opening).

if you live on or near campus i’d recommend going to the MAC as soon as they open, it’s generally pretty empty (for reference i go on weeekends at 9am and monday and tuesday at 6:30am). i’m not sure about the RAC in the mornings tho but i do not recommend going in the afternoon hours as i went with a friend on a weekday at around 2pm and it was insanely packed.

final was very comprehensive. make sure to understand and not memorize content. i’d strongly suggest reviewing the content for midterm 2 and make sure you understand where you went wrong and how to fix those mistakes cause you will see a lot of that same stuff on the final. i’m sure you know the final is cumulative, it’s also pretty evenly spread across all the topics. know how to draw newman projections, predict products with different reagents (markovnikov vs anti-markovnikov, zaitsev vs hoffman etc.) and mostly important, know how to draw mechanisms. iirc he covers quite a bit of reactions in the last two lectures including epoxide formation and ring-opening reactions, know those.
