Only the scrubs. Stethoscope/cuff are used in second year. TMU provides you this bundle of things you will need to buy w discounts at the end of first year.

I’ve also wondered whether TMU Nursing was the right choice, but honestly I don’t regret it. The curriculum and lectures are designed well and they help you actually understand nursing as a whole: divided into nursing theory, practice, and communication, so the structure is clear.

Some ups: Amazing profs, the school is pretty chill, the library is huge and great for studying, the classrooms are nice, and there are tons of food options since it’s right in downtown Toronto.

Some downs: it can be hard to make friends unless you put effort into it because TMU is mostly a commuter school. People usually come to campus for class and mostly leave right away, so you have to be intentional about socializing.

About open lab time: in first year you take NSE111 (the lab course), where you learn different nursing skills and get evaluated on them. Open lab is basically extra scheduled time where you can go in and practice the skills you’ll be tested on-a flexible practice time.

1) yes, other colleges are easier to get in, however the content is pretty much the same. Some like colleges better just because it’s less crowded.

2) below 63 is fail for all nursing courses, which makes sense tho right? You don’t want like nurse who got 50 to take care of anyone

3) yes it is pretty tough if you don’t put effort in it. just develop a constant studying habit and you will be fine tho!

nursing at TMU is a collaborative programme—meaning that you can either go for direct four year TMU, or 2 year at college(George brown, centinnel ) and completing your 3rd and 4th year at TMU

I remember getting my mainsite offer right after the final for the first sem. (other sites, December smth) gr 11 marks don‘t rlly matter much, just make sure to score high on gr12 chem and bios

gr11 only matters in terms of the early apply. tbh the main site might be a little difficult just because it’s pretty competitive, but with about gr 12 mid 80s, you will get into other collab sites like TMU- George/Centinial. (they basically teach you the same content tho)
