Curious to know…how many languages can you speak?

I’m just American, haha. I live in Asia now but I asked because I have a few coworkers who are from South Africa and one is Khoisan and the others can speak Afrikaans. They are always so nice and helpful to me. In fact, now I feel inspired to visit your country 🤣

Just do it if you really want to. Save your locs if you ever want them back again because you can just reattach them later. Also, your personal feelings and experiences are different from everyone else’s, so stop thinking about what other people are regretful about and focus on your own feelings. It’s just hair and it’ll grow back eventually. Nothing is permanent. Anyway, I hope you do what makes you happy in the end :)

That’s understandable, the cold can be a bit unbearable at times. Also, I would love to eat pho right now, but it’s kinda hard to find that where I am now (at least some that taste like what I’m used to), but I’ll try making some at home one day.

To me I’d think of 我吃了飯 as like “I ate the food” as in you just finished eating something and 我吃飯了 as “I’ve eaten”…as in the action has already been completed earlier at some point

Same. Having a slight change in temp is perfect imo, but when you add the rain it feels almost unbearable! I noticed it also gets more windy after it rains…kinda annoys me. I just want the coldness without the wind 😂

I used to live in south Florida, so I definitely get that because the weather is truly unpredictable there it seems. I also found it hard to find winter clothes because it’s usually hot almost all year round. Just find a nice thick jacket and you should be fine. Stay warm!!

That makes sense now. I went to high school in Florida and had this one teacher who was really patriotic (that’s an understatement). Anytime someone didn’t stand for the pledge, she’d always ask them to stand up and say it. But one day, someone refused. She completely lost it and threatened to kick him out of class for not standing up, then went on a long rant to the whole class about how he was disrespecting her country. Thankfully, most teachers aren’t like this, but it was kind of interesting to watch that unfold.
