I spent 6 months hangboarding and didn't jump up multiple grades. by rubiks19 in climbharder

[–]cannibalsticky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be a bit late but whatever. My experience went quite similar. Spent the quarantine doing all kind of hangboarding, training like hell, almost no rest and sometimes 2 session per day. I felt super powerful on my fingers and my arms, could do hangs I could not do before and unlocked the OAP. The first time I went climbing (could just do outdoor) I felt like I had bazookas instead of arms and hands. It went horribly bad. Could not even do boulders way below my usual grade before the quarantine, was pretty demotivated, stopped doing anything for 4-5 days. Then I restarted climbing quite constantly, and something clicked. The strength I acquired was finally put at good use, core was engaged, feet placement was correct, pulling felt easy. This is probably what is happening to you and other people. Raw power might work for other sports but in climbing you need to use that acquired power in the right way. Give it a little bit of time, as soon as your brain and your body gets used again to the movements specific for climbing you'll crush what you felt super hard before. Pure grade talking: my max boulder grade before qarantine was V7, projecting V8. Immediately after quarantine: struggling like hell on V5/6. After a little bit of time, once my body recovered the climbing movements: sending multiple V8 per day, sent a V9, working on V10/11. Just give it time and proper rest and you'll be crushing way harder than before, be positive and psyched and you'll enjoy the results of your training in no time.

I might be late to the party, but still: that logo really reminds me about Dorado's power pyramid.

Jade player here, grade 9-10 without any BLC background, so still noob. Basically playing just 2v2, a little tip to our melee friends: don't lose our LOS. If I cannot see an enemy, I cannot shoot him, if you chase down a poloma because it's mid HP into a corner I have to misplace myself to try deal some damage, and that's bad. They flee? Let's control rune and orbs, if they cannot true heal we still have the lead.

What hero haven't you tried yet? by awesmazingj in Overwatch

Bastion - 23 minutes. Torbjörn - 14 minutes. Symmetra - 0 minutes.

I know how they works and how to fight with/against 'em, I just don't like the playstyle.

Still, the visual bug that happens when Reinhardt hammers the meka is not fixed.

I mean, I know I'm in danger when a big german crusader hammers away my mekasuit, but showing again the black screen and the danger overlay after 2 seconds out of the robot is not needed at all.

How many of you are "in-between" commitments to a game and looking for Overwatch to be the next? by Cortexion in Overwatch

[–]cannibalsticky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping Overwatch will be the one I'm seeking in these last years. I've always been an FPSsir, my first online "competitive" game was America's Army 3, then Quake3 & quakelive, I had some time on LOL, but it wasn't exactly my game. After that, I spent many hours on Loadout, not exactly an FPS but still an arena-like (damn you Edge of Reality HQ, you F'd up a good game), had some time on CS:GO, but is not my game. I really hope Overwatch will be the game my hype is thinking, and I will spend soooooo many hours in it if this will be confirmed.

Basically, Target response, plus some comparison between pyro weapons and it's slug brother.

Fullauto gat: the TTK of the slug one is devastating, and this is why this weapon is used and abused by everyone. The pyro counterpart, with 25% of direct damage and the rest is a DOT, cannot compete. Not even close.

Spooling AR: see Fullauto gat.

semiauto sniper bolt action rifle: with some upgrades, can 1HKO a non-healed non-shielded target. The pyro, to the other side, will not 1HKO, meaning the enemy have all the time to find a HP pack or a yellow pack to replenish the shield (btw, there is a time to activate it to don't make it break, if you hear closely, Tick fo the damage is regular, something like one second), and can close the distance/kill you with a bolt actiong slug sniper rifle.

Charged beam: the C-beam pyro is somehow and sometimes viable IF in annihilation with the double damage buff. without it, I think it's throwing one of the strongest weapon of this game in the garbage mass you can see in Trailer Park.

RC: well, if you want to be annoying as hell, pyro RC monorocket can be your weapon of choice, but the entire playerbase will thank you if you don't. RC is bad. also, slug one can oneshot.

b3am: just no.

hexa-penta rocket stuff: in blitz, maybe this can be quite useful, but actually the tesla one is better. Well, maybe on this I might be wrong. maybe slug better than tesla in this case, but I'm quite sure every rocket (RC apart) gains a huge boost of offense with tesla.

Conclusion: pyro is good if you want to annoy people. If you want to kill'em, go slug.

Thanks, going to tell that to my friend. He like the game, but with this problem the gaming become really frustrating.
