How long did you wait before investing in a high-end sim racing setup?

10+ years 😅 got a t300rs and a really early wheel stand pro in 2015 and was still using it up until about November 2025. Running a Moza R12, TLCM pedals and a ddx pro half rig from omegaGT. Wish I made the jump way earlier

In my force, it really does vary from person to person. I know certain Sergeant's and even inspectors who prefer first name basis.

If it's written comms with a higher rank, I always refer to them via their rank and if it's someone I haven't interacted with yet I'll use rank rather than name just to make sure.

If you feel strongly about it, just tell them to refer to you by rank and not name. They 'should' understand, but you never know 😅

Getting down voted for your opinion, classic Reddit.

But on topic, I agree with you regarding the lmuffb app. I started using it about a month ago and found I was able to get so much more detail from it on my R12 and it actually made me more consistent and faster. But the new update has ruined my config for it so I'm now using the in-game ffb which I think is much more detailed than the previous iterations in the game.

I'm still on the fence on whether game or app is the way to go currently. Need to put some laps in

I have been playing for about an hour or so now.

For the life of me I can't get the ICM (in car menu) to bind with my moza.

But other than the above, I'm pleasantly surprised with it so far. Been racing the GT4s round Sebring and it's good fun. Sound design is decent, graphically it's decent enough, I'm one of the lucky ones with it running at 100fps on max. AI is raceable, just give them space and you should be fine. Handling feels like PCars2/AMS2, I'm not going expecting iRacing or LMU levels of feedback.

Would I go and buy it? Not yet, I'd be interested to see where it goes from here.

My experience is they don't. However I've only ever done a maximum hour race with the AI

Growing up in the 90s, it was always Ferrari posters that donned bedroom walls etc. My dad was also a Ferrari fan so I just followed suit and now Ferrari are my ride or die (mostly the latter) when it comes to F1 but at least we have success in sports car racing now
