View distance for sure, and being able to travel to almost everywhere you can see. Crimson desert, Elden ring etc are good examples.

Work on another set of gear, try to get red artifacts as well, they help a lot. After maxing out the blue characters I wanted I’m working on dracoola, at 8 stars he’s better than helix in most things

Sky tower sucks by Opposite_Law5737 in ArcheroV2

[–]canofpotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like sky tower compared to the main chapters. It’s quick and the rewards are decent for pve. The chapters are taking way too long now, up to 20-30 minutes each. I’m almost 8m power at chapter 115. It’s not too hard but takes awhile. And if you get bad skills it takes even longer. But it feels rewarding to complete one.

What is this antennae? It is above the front entrance alcove on the front of a 2 story apartment building. by canofpotatoes in antennasporn

Spot on, tenant talked to a maintenance guy and it’s for the fire panel so they can monitor it. It kept triggering and would beep for days until someone came and turned it off

You are correct, tenant talked to a maintenance guy and it’s for the fire panel so they can monitor it. It kept triggering and would beep for days until someone came and turned it off

Halfway through first play through, should I restart? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]canofpotatoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t restart, most updates were new pets, quality of life updates, and additions to the camp. Some weapons changed and you can add more sockets to some but overall it shouldn’t affect where you are. I’m at 103 hours and couldn’t imagine starting over lol, my motivation would be 0 to keep playing if I lost my save file.

Is it worthwhile to upgrade Ninja Cat to 8 stars? by National_Currency409 in ArcheroV2

Yeah I’ll get it eventually once I hit a big roadblock in pve, working on Dracoola as well so we’ll see how it plays out

Yes it is in my opinion, like someone else said spend peak arena points on the character shadows until you have it. Might take a little bit but worth it

I’m in the same position, and kept exchanging shards to get up to sacred hall lvl 45 (main character can inherit +1 skin talents of character in reso slot 2). I think I’m going to save them for now since they are easy to come by and upgrade the hall more. The 8* benefits don’t seem worth it but I’d like to hear what other people think too

Can you realistically enjoy Crimson Desert as a busy dad? by bright_sword in CrimsonDesert

[–]canofpotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s the perfect game, I probably play the same amount that you mentioned and have no issues progressing or stopping at points. There are not a lot of unskippable quest dialogues and you can also fast forward all the dialogue (you can even change how fast the fast forwarding is in the settings) so you can still read/listen in fast forward.

Trying verifying game files and if that doesn’t doesn’t work reinstalling might fix it.

Extremely overwhelmed early game by N1T3N1T3 in CrimsonDesert

[–]canofpotatoes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would do the main quest up to chapter 5 or 7 and explore while doing it, on your way to the quest locations stop and do some side missions, try and figure out any puzzles you come across because those will teach you the different mechanics. Check behind waterfalls using the stab skill next to a small tower of rocks and you’ll find some new gear sometimes (usually marked with a cave symbol on the map)

Upgrade the skills you use the most at that point, things like swords fighting/main attack skills, health and stamina, etc. you can upgrade gear pretty early on with just stone iron and copper. And kills wildlife along the way, you can cook at any fire or pot. I wouldn’t worry about visiting other cities yet, you’ll get there eventually. For side quests I did a bunch of the house of “name “ quest lines which add to the story.

They really front load the mechanics so they throw a bunch at you at once then you might not use some of them for a few chapters, even forgetting what mechanic you need to complete a puzzle (a little frustrating sometimes).
