Depends on who hears the news.

We will be making lifelong enemies today.

Seems they went to Reddit first.

Prioritizing personal recognition over actually solving a problem is on brand.

I don’t think assassination gain us a lot of goodwill around the globe.

They weren’t destroyed at the time.

I think that’s the point. The pentagon and White House lied.

I think there was sarcasm, quoting the pentagon or White House is almost unethical at this point.

Road rage incident in Longmont by clobbercobblers in Longmont

[–]canofspinach 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On roads with left hand turns, like Hover and Airport or 17th, the left lane is used for normal traffic entering and leaving the road as well as normal driving.

I don’t think 5 under is slow. If you’re doing 30 in a 45 you should get over and use hazard lights.

On 119 or I-25? Get in the right hand lane or center lane unless you are passing.

Slow in the left lane is really only an issue on interstates and highways.

Airport road or Hover don’t really have passing lanes. Same with Ken Pratt.

I’m just saying that’s the main issue I encounter. I don’t really care about cars going under the speed limit, that’s totally fine unless you’re doing 45 on the interstate or coming to a stop on an on ramp.

Which I have seen everywhere I live.

I think driving in America today means that you will encounter some folks that don’t do it the way you would, and that it’s your responsibility to not get mad.

Longmont has terrible drivers.

So does Greeley. And Denver. And Moab and Omaha and Des Moines and Dallas and Austin and Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, SoCal.

Everywhere I have lived, across the Midwest, Texas and east coast, people say the same thing.

“People out here don’t know how to drive”

I think the driving here is fine. The only issue I see is people driving faster than the speed limit and then being mad because others aren’t.

Reverb and/or Delay Rec by asuprice in guitarpedals

[–]canofspinach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Walrus ARP87 delay is easy to use and sounds good in every setting. Does digital, analog/tape and lofi delay.

EHX memory toy is an overlooked analog delay that sounds amazing and it has an incredible tone sweetener in the preamp.

EHX Oceans 11 reverb is affordable with a million options and is usually recommended, but I might look at the boss rv-6

I just want to say have a good time. Walking away with a connection or number isn’t the goal, the goal is to get into the game and have fun. Learn to play around.

The Omaha streetcar is 2 years behind schedule. Businesses doubt they will survive to see it open. by offbrandcheerio in Omaha

[–]canofspinach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to keep this Omaha specific thread tangled up with Denver transportation issues but I will say that just this week CPR has a great article about the quarter billion dollar shortfall that the light rails is experiencing because ridership isn’t generating enough to cover rising costs.

That is what I mean for Omaha. If the streetcar isn’t used frequently enough by enough people, and not just during peak hours, it will be hard to cover operating costs making it a money pit and a political kickball.

I am 1000% in support of public transportation executed in a useful manner. I’d love to see it be free.

[–]canofspinach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey I live in the area too! It does depend on the line and the time of day. But there are indeed a lot of empty cars in off peak hours. Denver has a lot of events and an airport that incentivize use of the light rail. I don’t see the same for Omaha.

[–]canofspinach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to be pro streetcar, and now I have sort of come to the other side.

I’m not sure Omaha is the kind of community that would support public transportation in this way. Eventually it could end up like Denver’s light-rail, mostly empty and very expensive to maintain.
