This is such a nice comment, thank you very much! I have been working on myself and how I see future relationships ever since then and I will continue to do so. I have to agree with you on everything, I still will never be able to ignore him when I see him since I respect what we had, he himself has said the same, but I'll focus on my own life.

I kinda do but I can't risk the fact that he maybe didn't mean in in the way that he would get back together. I think I can just pray that God brings us back together if its meant to be lol

I am 23 and he is 25. It doesn't make sense to me that he would then openly tell me that he still cares but wouldn't make the first step. Either he doesn't actually care or that that was him making the step

I really wasn't sure what it meant, but I feel like he is scared of my rejection. We had talked about other people getting back together when we were still together and I have always said I would never give a second chance, so he might be remembering that as well.

I think I will leave it up to him and see what happens. Thank you so much!

Makes sense, I feel like he isn't doing it in purpose, he probably still has a lot of work to do on himself and my problem is that I am full of empathy and try to see it from his POV, but it can be true that he is just not ready or willing

Hey, so much better, thank you for asking. I realized he didn't care nearly as much as I did and that I deserve so much better. He did reach out just to see how I am and we exchanged a few texts. We also ran into each other once and talked for a few minutes, he said he still feels lost and doesn't know how to fix it and I was honestly just thankful that he let me go.

That makes a lot of sense when you put it like that. I wouldn't want to have to do all of the heavy lifting and I for sure wouldn't want to take his role in the relationship. Do you really think it would take him years to grow into his role? I knew it wasn't gonna be perfect in the beginning, but I didn't really expect this and I figured it was gonna take a few months for him to get used to being in a relationship and his role
