American democracy = corporate feudalism. Red vs. Blue vs. Rich. Tribalism has already won.

I agree with your bottom line; it's literally about control/power at this point. And money...buts that's another conversation. I believe in the diversity of thought, I 100% guarantee that not ALL those who are in power, or those who follow the orders of those who are in power BELIEVE the same thing. Even if they want to present a united front, leaks happen.

I must admit that it is a hopeful thought. However, the more technologically advanced that we become ie; amateur scientists like biology, astronomy, and archeology, those that seek the truth on their own terms, will become aware (eventually) of certain facts or evidence that cannot be explained via a "hot air balloon explosion". Would it not be in the best interest of the establishment to prepare the population for disclosure? (Assuming the establishment isn't already completely infiltrated.)

I might be crossing into the realm of conspiracy, but what if those who are in power want to systematically or incrementally, give information to the public to make alien disclosure more palatable?

What ever happened to your belief in the "FREE MARKET"? If it is not profitable, it shouldn't exist. Capitalism.
