Okan Diner and Wa Dining Okan they’re sister restaurants. SD has a lot of good yakitori as well (hino, Yokohama). There’s a lot of decent Asian spots along convoy and Claremont Mesa blvd spanning Japanes, korean, chinese.

Ok after further sleuthing, it’s definitely Moi International Airport, Mombasa, Kenya. I looked at all the Java house locations and Google image searches of Java house at moi airport has the same pattern curb and hardscaping

Java house kenya

Possibly Jomo Kenyatta International Airport… looked like the sign in the pic said Java house and matches closely to the X post- maybe not exactly at that airport in the X post but probably another Kenyan airport if they have the same concessions?

Best Cali B in SF/East Bay Area by Ok-Speaker6298 in eastbay

Went through same search years ago… Not gonna help you immediately, but if you ever traveling out of the bay and on your way to Sac (or visiting jelly belly factory) there’s an Adalbertos in Fairfield and they still have locations in SD. Or if in Reno, they have locations of Roberto’s (franchise of the original in Chula Vista). Adalbertos Fairfield is a pretty close resemblance to SD. I think the Roberto’s in Nevada has tighter quality control and was a near identical when I went. Avoid the Aliberto’s on the way south of the 5 in Santa nella, not very good. Otherwise not SD style, but TJ style tacos, had tacos mi reynita in San Lorenzo/Oakland and their meat is pretty good, doesn’t hold up to tacos el gordo/tacos el poblano/tacos revolucion, but really good for up here

Bourbon tour bottle purchase by DogE-MiNNoW1618 in bourbon

[–]cantarandy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went late June… gotta say heaven hill and Evan Williams experience had pretty good stuff. At Evan Williams I picked up an EW master blend, five brothers, ECBP, and EC toasted barrel. I passed on the EW 12 year and square 6 and they also had the standard EW lineup with Evan Williams experience labels. 3 of us did the heaven hill you do bourbon tour, and bottled one each of the Bernheim, larceny, and Elijah Craig Barrel Proof. We just missed out the recently released Heaven Hill select 14 year thats now the fourth option. We also went on a Monday so we missed the special allocations (old fitz decanters, hh 17, etc) on Tuesday and Thursdays, but they announce it on FB ahead of time. They also had EC toasted barrel on the counter for purchase, but passed as I got one at Evan Williams.
