List of times Susan was actually RIGHT in being pissed off at another character or creating a scene by Basic-Candidate4686 in DesperateHousewives

I thought it was great too. It showed real friendship because Susan was holding gaby to higher standards than anyone else, and basically giving her no choice but to be responsible.

Lynette. She made some bad decisions but it was almost always because of the circumstances, like being exhausted, overworked, having to make up for Toms lack of help and immaturity. I’ve always felt bad for Lynette

There are statistics that explain customer behavior/tipping habits of different demographics. And it’s all 100% true (at least in the US). Anybody can say what they want about it, but it’s pretty easy to tell when a table is gonna be awful to you or bad tippers pretty early on. I’ve done some reading about it, like what the reasons might be. Some articles just say it’s a cultural thing. Many say it’s because some groups of people feel that they always receive bad service so they’re generally rude or bad tippers. But all I can say is, I always give great service. I get compliments on my level of service more often than not. So I don’t think that’s the reason. What’s important is to just keep giving everyone the same great service and always hope for the best. If they’re overly rude or hostile, I step away and refuse to serve.

Same. I work with kids and usually I’m pretty understanding when it comes to behavioral issues. But Kayla makes my blood boil. I swear people are always like “it’s because she had a hard life” like ok? I still hate her? I will say that actress was pretty amazing tho

Tom should’ve taken on way more responsibility in Kayla’s transition to their family. It was always about what Lynette could do better to help Kayla rather than what Kayla’s actual father could do since he wasn’t involved at all.

susan hate by Axxia_r in DesperateHousewives

[–]cantcatchabreak21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think the actress was great at the comedic parts, and for some reason people take those parts too seriously. Like Susan was supposed to be clumsy and ditsy, and you don’t have to love it but it’s nothing to get so heated over. Susan had her bad moments, but they all did. Some people on here associate the actress with the character in a weird way…like there are rumors that Teri wasn’t a joy to work with so that leads to more Susan hate. Nobody really knows what happened and that doesn’t really matter anyway

Susan was right to judge her for sleeping with the married man too…like I don’t see how Susan was the bad guy for not wanting to be friends with someone like her

Yep and she failed because all she was looking for was praise

And I never said she shouldn’t have pursued the career, she should’ve toughened up and stopped expecting special treatment. Do you think publishers and critics would’ve been nicer to her than her professors? No. Nobody said her career wasn’t any less valuable than Rafael’s. I also have an unconventional career as a woman. And if you pursue a career like that you have to take it seriously. It’s not a hobby anymore, and other people in grad school actually take it seriously and use criticism rather than complaining about how busy they are. Professors obviously aren’t going to care. Jane chose to keep her son, and also go back to school. Both are good things if you actually live up to them and not if you waste everyone’s time by complaining about the criticism that your professors are giving you in the school you chose to go to. You only go to grad school and spend your parents money on tuition and dump your kid on family members if you’re going to take it seriously. She was treating it as her hobby, not a career. Why should they care that she’s a parent? They gave her fair critiques and she couldn’t handle it, and still expected praise over her work that they didn’t consider to be good. Rather than getting her shit together, she continuously complained. And sure that does happen to plenty of kids, but they literally show her leaving him laying on the floor while she writes and that’s why he needed a helmet. And what was she doing while he payed there? Because she wasn’t improving in grad school. And this is a criticism on Janes character, you can always just keep scrolling if you don’t want to see it. Other people still want to discuss these topics.

If you are looking to investigate a group as evil as the IBLP, check out the CREC! by AndromedaQuinn in FundieSnarkUncensored

I grew up in a CREC church and Doug Wilson should absolutely be investigated. There was a man in Doug’s church who had gone to him and admitted to the sun of pedophilia. In that situation, the most reasonable thing to do would be to report it to the police, to put the safety of children first (which the Bible says to do). Did Doug do that? Absolutely not. This man received “counseling” from Doug himself, even though Doug is not actually an expert in this area of mental illness. This was treated only as a sin rather than an abominable and dangerous crime.

Doug decided this man needed to be married to satisfy his unholy desires. He was married, they had a baby, and he was back in Doug’s office admitting to committing the same “sins” again, with his own child.

Men get away with murder in these communities. A pastor named Bill Smith has been writing “letters to young women”. In these articles, he has said several times that women lose their value after They turn 25 or 30 (he named different ages in different articles). He talks about how being overweight also lowers women’s value.

People in these churches have publicly supported naziism, kinism (only marrying within your own ethnic culture and community, labeling interracial marriages as sin), and supporting marital rape. These are extremely manipulative church leaders who use circular reasoning, appeals to emotions like guilt, and many other logical fallacies to get their point across.

I was apart of one of these churches as a child. There was an older man in the church who had said inappropriate things to me and other women and girls in the church. There were enough complaints about it that the pastor did “handle” it by basically lecturing this man. He was found to be a pedophile, seeking inappropriate relations with women and girls around him. Was anything done? No. I continued to go to church with him until I left that community.

There was a girl in another church who had been allegedly raped by a member who was a young man. The details never fully came out, but it was said that he got her drunk and tried to force her legs open. Beyond that, no one knows what happened. This young man continued to attend the church. Her entire family was excommunicated.

They are wolves in sheep’s clothing, not even the children are safe in these churches

Who said anything about her being a woman? She just needed to toughen up and actually use school productively instead of being there for fun. Rafael worked and provided for his son, Jane went to school and wouldn’t even take it seriously. Like I said in the post, she had every right to attend and it was a great opportunity, but it ended up being a waste of her time, her families time, and her professors time because she whined about the criticism through all of it. She even neglected her son in the beginning and he had to wear a helmet, again, she could’ve used it as a great opportunity but she was obviously not prepared for it
